This doctor, for all his education and experience, was VERY smug and dismissive, and told me that my symptoms (that have landed me in the ER multiple times) were not, and could not possibly be true. He refused to get to the root of the problem and told me to just get anxiety meds. I am now seeing a specialist who understands that hypertension is a symptom of a deeper problem, and is putting the pieces of the puzzle together. Just throwing pills at hypertension and medicating the anxiety it causes, without finding out the real cause of the condition, is like waxing your car and hoping to make it run better. Just my experience. He's a really nice guy until you need some real answers.
