Ungodly expensive. He's nice and all but I've now spent nearly $1,000 for him to tell me it's all in my head.

Ungodly expensive. He's nice and all but I've now spent nearly $1,000 for him to tell me it's all in my head.
Tjis was my first visit to Dr. Anderson. I was greeted warmly by the staff and checked in quickly. They took all my records and had them ready for my appointment. the reception area was neat, clean and comfortable. After Short wait I saw Dr. Anderson. He was friendly and seemed interested in my health needs. He took time with me to answer all my questions and concerns. When making an appointment for a follow visit I was given a report of what we had discussed and changes we made. I appreciated their concern to keep me informed. Thank you for taking care of my health needs!
I have seen Dr. Anderson for years and I like him. A year ago, he referred me to an electrophysiologist in his office, as he was unable to figure out my issues. Tests always looked good. Although I saw that doctor several times, I still had an appointment with Dr. Anderson last month. He was cheerful, as always, but I felt he wasn't 'engaged'. His office had ordered a two week Holter monitor a few months before. His nurse had called me to tell me the results, and what he had said about it. However, when I asked about it at this appointment, he seemed to draw a blank. I wanted to know how it differed from one the other doctor had ordered about ten months before. Although he listened to my explanation of my current, and worsening issue, he didn't think it was a heart problem, but a lung issue. I had already seen a pulmonologist, who thought it was a heart problem, although she had referred me to UTSW for a few tests. So, I'm between a rock and a heard place, while I'm getting worse, and can barely function. He did seem to be in a hurry to go. In fairness, I believe doctors these days are way overworked, don't seem to have time to really look at history. Added June 4, 2024 I am changing cardiologists. I feel Dr. Anderson completely missed the boat on my diagnosis. In my previous review, I mentioned that he thought my problem was with my lungs. I saw a Dr in the heart/lung clinic at UTSW in Dallas, where I had been referred. First test was a more thorough ECHO, which showed severe Tricuspid valve regurgitation, which had deteriorated over the past two years. I sent it to his office, waited weeks to get feedback. The word I got from his nurse was that the regurgitation wasn't severe enough even to treat with medication. Subsequent heart caths show no pulmonary hypertensign or blockage. Saw a doctor at the UTSW heart valve clinic. I'm going to need to have that valve repaired. Soon, I hope, since I can hardly breathe.
Got to my appointment 30 mins early, and they took me back early. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff working alongside Dr. Dale Anderson. At least one of the nurses / techs have been working with Dr. Anderson for many years. Dr. Anderson listened to my latest updates and gave me the option to continue going on a regular checkup or going to as-needed since my heart-related health had improved. Dr. Anderson comes highly recommended.
This was a very positive experience. The wait was short and the nurses made me feel very comfortable. We laughed a lot. Dr. Anderson was very attentive, made me feel comfortable and answered all of my questions and concern. Dr. Anderson and his nurses deserve a five star rating.
