I went to sleep Dr. Cometh at the JPS cardiology clinic on 9/17/2025. I was excited to return to the clinic after having several years of insurance issues and not being able to continue to use them to care for my chronic heart failure. I will preface this by saying I have struggled with using meth for many years, although that is not what caused my chf, it certainly had not helped it. Dr. Cometh asked about if I had any relaps s in the time between when he implanted my defibulator and my appointment. I'm being honest I don't want to portray myself as the stereotypical meth user, I don't feel like I am, but this is my pov. It is not an easy drylug to quit doing, especially if you are on an array of meds that make you tired, dizzy, nauseated, etc. I told him yes I did and I explained to him I didn't have any energy unless I did that He told me that he understood the meds made me feel bad and he said the drug probably does make me feel better, but ultimately it is not helping my heart get better. I realize this. And I agree. So, why not give me a solution to my problem instead of telling me that if I would just stop complaining about how bad I feel when I don't do meth because I'm in other drugs that make me feel bad and accept that this is my new normal. Ok, what happened to going to the doctor because we feel bad and then treating us so that we feel better? Isn't that his job? To help his patients to find a treatment that will help them improve? To make referrals to another specialist if that is not their area of expertise?

The welcoming front desk clerk has exceptional customer service skills with real empathy for each and every patient that comes to her desk. That same care is also with Ms Vicki (LPN) and Dr Julia Diaz White.... they both takes & makes the time to get to know and understand the patients, their immediate needs and steps for their long time, down the road care.... that continues to fill my Spirit.... that there are more people who care.... then the ones who mistreat people. Excellent job and care, JPS Cardiology Center! I will not forget about the young lady on the 4th floor in the Business Office who also....brighten my day..... she listened to me about the misbehaving from a clinic in Euless ...... she made my process very easy in a timely manner, she was so patient friendly, professional with a sense of humor, and sent me off to my appointment with a wonderful prayer to continue on my journey........ they all did this for me ..... with that said............ THANK YOU ALL!

I've been using dr Kumar for at least 3 years for my Aorta Stenosis. I started with him when I did not have insurance because the cash pay price was affordable. but I now have insurance and have decided to stay with him as my cardiologist. He's very knowledgeable and great at explaining what's going on. I never feel rushed when I see him and he addresses my concerns as if they are valid. Although, I like Dr Kumar a lot, I often have a hard time getting through on the phone to make an appointment or ask a question. I have had to call several times or wait on hold for an unusual amount of time before my call is answered on many occasions. I'm not sure if this is a staffing problem or a problem with the fact that it's JPS and they are just busier than normal. I trust dr kumar enough that I'm willing to deal with the office issues to see him. Giving 5 stars bc I know a lot of people use reviews to Choose a dr. And dr Kumar is great. But if I had to rate the facility, it would be 3 stars.
