Dr. Carlos Macias is a fellowship-trained thoracic surgeon with special focus in the areas of cardiothoracic and vascular interventions, including heart valve implantation, mechanical circulatory support and cardioversion (low-energy shock). He uses transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) and other advanced and minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Macias earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Center in Houston. He completed his general surgery residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas before going on to complete his thoracic surgery fellowship at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

I have nothing but kind words to say about Dr. Macias. He was absolutely incredible. I'm 22 years old and I had an aneurysm on my heart that he repaired and had my aortic valve replaced. So thankful I was referred to him by my cardiologist and would 100% refer him to friends and family

Dr Macias was chosen by another heart surgeon, to ro my bypass surgery. He has been very kind, did a treat job on my heart. His staff is just as great. Highly recommend him if you need heart surgery. He will answer any of your questions. I was blessed by God to gave on my side. This occurred in 10-24.

My husband is a Marine Veteran. Thomas D Goetz. Diagnosed for 2 blocked arteries. Referred to Dr Carlos Macias by a Ft Worth hospital for a double bypass surgery. We called for appt, got a run around for 3 days with them telling us each time they would call us back....never called back we called again and were told Dr Macius does not take any VA INSURANCE .....what???? What about The Hippacratic Oath"...What about "Do No Harm"....very disappointing experience!!!!!
