Dr. Daniel Ortiz

Was referred by my OB because I was experiencing high blood pressure, and palpitations, and anxiety while pregnant. My OB signed paperwork to take time off work to run test because he saw abnormalities with my EKG test and with my high blood pressure I was experiencing to make sure my heart was okay by a cardiologist "Daniel Ortiz". Doctor refused to sign any paperwork to be cleared to go return back to work and accused me of fraud. Questioned on what do I even do for work that I need paperwork work signed to returned to work. Tried explaining my situation to him and was shutdown.. he left room. Left doctors office crying. Very rude, no patience, does not care. Waste of my time to and money. Would give 0 stars. No compassion for the elderly or pregnant women.

He was very rude and inappropriate with my parents. He Didn't want to help my mother any more, told her she didnt need a cardiologist anymore, to leave the space to a person that really needs it (my mother has a lot of heart problems) and my dad was told to sit aside aftee he wanted to ask questions about her medications she is taking. He told hom very rudely to "sit far away" because he could give him a "disease" and yell at him then he told my mother he should get a boyfriend twice in front of my father. Tjat was very inappropriate to say to them. They're 77 years old and he was absolutely out of line and rude. Made them feeI really bad. I don't recomend him.

Dr Ortiz and his staff member's are excellent. When I take my sister to see the dr I have no problem in waiting to see him. His staff answer the phone and answer my questions. Dr Ortiz has several locations 1. Eastlake 2. Cedar Hill dr. 3. Mesa I highly recommend Dr Ortiz. Remember you get treated with respect when you give respect. Thank you Dr Ortiz for your service to my sister. Remember everything is time and you can't rush a diagnose without tests being done. Any dr appointment you have to wait. Plus dr treats patients according you can't make them rush than you get upset. My high respect for Dr Ortiz

I've seen Dr. Ortiz twice, my first impression on my initial visit was not good. I waited an hour in the waiting room even though his waiting are was empty. He spent 5 minutes with me and ordered an echocardiogram and a stress test. Due to insurance issues and work schedule I went ahead and scheduled the echo thinking it was more important than the stress test. I just left his office feeling extremely dissapointed and overwhelmed. Again like the first time I waited a little over an hour just for him to tell me that he could not and would not give me a proper diagnosis without my stress test. My personal impression and experience with this Dr. Is he's unprofessional, he lacks compassion, and he's self centered. He should not be practicing medicine much less a specialist in cardiac care. I will not be returning to see him and I will talk to my insurance. I believe he should not be getting paid for my visits. I did try to change Dr's in the same Cardiology group but was told by the Receptionist that they don't allow that, that I would have to keep him. " I don't think so".

horrible and extremely rude. Ego inflated. People like him should not be practicing medicine if they are going to be this terrible with their patients.
