This is the best doctor ever, he is the only one who gave me a true diagnosis the first time that I went to his office as compared to other two doctors which I had been seeing since 2018 which literally did nothing for me . Just beware the wait time at his office is more than 4 hours but to me is worth it because he met all my expectations and I rather be treated by a true professional than others that take less time to see me but do not truly care about my health. I am very happy to be treated by him. I trust him 100% with my health needs.

On 10/25/21 I took my mother for a cardio stress test at DHR imaging center that involved her walking on a treadmill to get her heart rate up to 127 BPM. Dr Shuaib's assistant Lesly was conducting the test and she didn't prepare my mom by checking first to see how fast she could walk or how much of an incline she could handle. Lesly cranked the treadmill up to a rapid speed that would ONLY be ok for walking on flat, level ground. In addition to this, Lesly also raised the treadmill platform to an angled position of 15 degrees. Professional and fit young runners have difficulty running up even a 10 degree slope. Interstate highways are made at only at a 6 degree angle. A ramp that is ADA compliant must be angled at no more than 5 degrees. Lesly raised the treadmill platform to the maximum angle allowed by the treadmill which was so high that it was impossible to walk rapidly on by anyone except a mountain goat. Lesly expected my mother who is 71 years old and in extreme pain and has been unable to eat, to walk quickly at this angle at a high rate of speed. Lesly set my mother up to fail her cardio test. My mother was unable to walk quickly up the steep incline and she started slipping off the end of the treadmill while holding onto the handle bar. The 2 assistants there tried helping to keep my mother from falling off the treadmill. Lesly stopped the treadmill and said she was going to cancel the test and order a different test where they give an injection of a chemical that puts stress on the heart and forces it to beat faster to keep up. Lesly said it cost $1000 which was $700 more than the $300 treadmill test. DHR doesn't accept my mother's insurance so we have been paying out of pocket. I told Lesly that she set the angle of incline on the treadmill too steep and that's why my mother was falling off. I asked Lesly if that was the only angle she could possibly set the treadmill at. Lesly said that it had to be at that extreme angle. Lesly insisted that the treadmill had to be at maximum angle. Lesly said she was going to schedule the chemical stress test 4 days later and would cost $700 more. Lesly left the test room to speak to her boss Dr Shuaib who said she could modify the test to use a lower angle of incline. I again told Lesly that my mother can walk all day on a flat level surface and she could get her heart rate up that way. Lesly snapped at me and said that she was there on her time to help us out. Lesly did not acknowledge her error in setting the test up to cause my mom to fail it and she didn't apologize. Lesly started the test again with no incline and my mother walked on the treadmill for less than 2 minutes and her heart rate got up to 159 BPM which was higher than the 127 BPM that was required by the test. I have another concern about both Dr Shuaib and Lesly on a previous occasion that happened on 10/20/21 I took my mother to an appointment at Dr Shuaib's office where Lesly told my mother she had high cholesterol of 103 and she would like to see it at 100 but since it wasn't too far off it wasn't that bad. I have the ability to understand math so 103 subtracting 100 is only 3 points. Dr Shuaib came into the room 1 minute later and asked my mother if she was talking any type of prescription medication. My mother said no, she was not on any doctor prescribed medication. Dr Shuaib immediately told my mother that her cholesterol level was at 130 and he wanted it to be at 70 and he was prescribing a medication to lower the cholesterol. So Lesly and Dr Shuaib gave us 2 different stories about the cholesterol levels. I asked Lesly how long mom would need to take the prescription before being approved for surgery. Lesly snapped at my mother and me that she needs to take the medicine to lower her cholesterol and ignored the question I asked. We went to my mother's PCP doctor and they ran a complete blood test panel. They found that her cholesterol levels were at indeed at 103 which means that Dr Shuaib was going to prescribe medication that she did not need.
