Dr. Cai is wonderful! You get a feeling that you are in good hands the moment you meet him. Very confident, kind, excellent bedside manner. I had a triple bypass on Thursday and went home on Sunday. I was also very impressed with his staff, Greta and Andrew. They are very responsive. Highly recommend this team!

Very unprofessional, not to mention heartless-my husband had a tumor (turned out BENIGN) and Dr Cai told him, seconds before they wheeled him off to surgery, that he thought it was lung cancer and that he was just going in to stage it. NOT the sort of thing you tell someone right before they go into surgery!!! I had never seen my husband cry before that moment and I couldn't blame him. Would never go back to this doctor. (oh and he never apologized either....)

This surgeon performed a triple bypass on my husband while his heart was still beating. He is also one of the most confident, non-anxious people - never mind doctors - I have ever met. His team is great, too. I have met several others Dr. Cai has operated on and have heard only the highest reviews.

I have given several Google reviews over the years, thanks to this man. Well actually thanks to God for sparing my life, but he used this man to do the work. Dr. Cai performed my quad bypass surgery eight years ago on 5 August. Not only did he do amazing work without having to stop my heart, but the incision was so clean and precise that eight years later, you can barely see a scar. Same thing for the back of my knees where they harvested the vessels to use in the bypass. I went into Baylor in McKinney for my fourth heart attack on August 1, 2014, and because of complications they scheduled me for bypass surgery on the 5th. I was petrified in fear before the operation, but the night before this amazing doctor came into my room to talk to me. He was so cocky! And in the best way, he just had an air of confidence about him that came off of him in waves.
He told me he had another patient in the morning, and then he was going to do mine in the early afternoon. I was immediately put at ease just because of his level of confidence. The nursing staff at Baylor hospital in Denton became my friends for life, even though I haven't seen any of them since. I was treated like a special person by every single one of them. I still have my heart pillow signed by all of them. I keep it next to my bed to this day to remind myself of their extraordinary work.
When I went back for my three month check up, Dr. Cai asked me if I had eaten lunch yet at the end of the appointment. I told him no we had rushed over during my wife's lunch hour. He recommended Rudy's barbecue just around the corner! At first I thought he was being sarcastic, but then I read several articles that say that beef brisket is filled with omega nine fatty acids, which is good cholesterol not bad cholesterol.
So here I am eight years later and I really really hope you read this. Thank you for your part in saving my life.

Dr. Cai himself is a wonderful doctor and surgeon. He is very talented and intelligent and did a great job with my husbands bypass. i'm leaving a 2 star review because of his PA Greta. She's very pushy, hateful and rude which is not ok and absolutely unacceptable. God forbid my husband be in pain and need medication. She made excuses of backlash from the pharmacy when the pharmacy hasn't indicated any concern whatsoever. She also said his back pain was unrelated to the surgery, when the surgery is what has caused his lack of mobility to protect his sternum and we cannot have chiropractic adjustments to help his pain. Being on pain pills for a few weeks after a major surgery is NOT a big deal like she wants to make it out to be. I refuse to speak to her again, as I don't deserve to be talked down to. Dr. Cai can do better with his staff.
