Patient
The Dr wasn't able to review my information prior to meeting with me. Acted as if I should know what to do when my condition is brand new for me. I went to great lengths to insure the they had my in unit sleep study results prior to my appointment, which the Dr knew nothing about and didn't have in my folder. When I asked about the invasive procedure that I was told to schedule the Dr knew nothing about that and said "why would I order that?" How the heck am I supposed to know when I don't understand enough about this new condition that I have. The Dr left and sent in her assistant to give me some educational information and send me on my way! Great! So now I go home with information, no advice, no instructions and no Dr to talk to. I'm hoping nothing serious happens to me before I can see another Dr. I don't know what happened in this Doctors day prior to seeing me. My appointment was at 2:15 PM I didn't get called up to the room until after 3:00 PM and didn't get out of there until after 4:00 PM. The Dr seemed disheveled and a bit frazzled. My Daughter who was with me said the Dr just dismissed me because I was asking questions, isn't that what we do as patients! Anyway I'm grateful to find this out before agreeing to the invasive procedure that was recommended beforehand. I feel as if that invasive procedure could have been performed unnecessarily.
