Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital - Denton

Baylor Scott & White Denton Heart hospital did a super job. They sent me an envelope prior to my appointments with a map and very clear instructions of when and where to go. I had several tests done in an orderly and efficient manner. Each technician was friendly and efficient. After my tests I had a conference with Stephanie, the schedule coordinator, who explained possible procedures. She is an excellent communicator and explained my options very clearly. She also gave me lunch vouchers for the in house restaurant. After lunch a team of doctors reviewed my tests and concluded that my heart valves were not bad enough to require surgery. My issue was complications from sleep apnea weakening my heart and lungs. I highly recommend the Baylor Scott and White Heart hospital in Denton.

I have spent way too much time at the heart hospital this year but if I was going to be at one, the Denton Baylor Scott and White heart hospital is the only one I would want to be at. Had very major surgery and the people there are just amazing. Nice, helpful, caring.... I could go on and on. It was really almost pleasurable going through the surgery I went through and it was all because of the people. Thank you Baylor Scott and White of Denton for everything.

1 Star I came to the ER tonight at Baylor Scott & White Heart Hospital in Denton to be with my friend. When I arrived, a nurse told me to wait in the ER waiting room while they got my friend settled, and she showed me where to sit. When I walked in, there were two Black teenage boys quietly watching cartoons. Their mother, who was clearly an employee--wearing her Baylor uniform and badge--was cleaning the area as part of her job. No one else was in the waiting room other than me and the two boys. A white security guard came in and told the boys they were not allowed to stay there and needed to go to the main lobby. He looked at me--who is white--and told me I was fine to stay, but they were not. Their mother explained that her supervisor had told her she could have her boys wait in that room while she worked, yet the guard insisted they leave anyway. I told the boys I was sorry for how they were treated. They tried to brush it off, but it was not OK. I was appalled. These kids were doing absolutely nothing wrong--quiet, respectful, simply watching cartoons while their mother worked a Saturday night shift. The fact that they were singled out and removed while I was explicitly told I could stay was disturbing and hard to ignore. This kind of treatment is exactly why we continue to see racial divides in this country. Baylor, do better. Please find this mother and apologize to her and her boys. They deserve that. And also, this was in the Day Surgery waiting room. Just right off of the ER. You need to pull the security camera footage and speak to your security guard.And you need to speak to the young lady who Was working. You know good and well who it was and what happened. Actually, she's probably afraid to even talk to you Because she might lose her job. Is that right? Sounds to me like you should hand this over to HR. I mean, I would hate for the local media to get a hold of this story. Her boys were doing nothing but watching cartoons in there while their mother was working to make a living. Your security guard was way out of line. As far out of line as anyone can be!

Receptionist very nice. Clean waiting area. Appointment on time. All people I encountered in the x-ray were nice. Discharge nurse took us to the snack room where we had something to drink and a snack. Had to fast before appointment so enjoyed this.

Because of the staff being so supportive and helpful and kind, I am very impressed with the service that they rendered to me and Patrice! It gives me a great pleasure to know how they have made the environment so warm and service friendly, plus, hearing that our results are POSITIVE! That's enough to put our minds at ease, considering how hard it was to wake up early in the morning at 4am, last Thursday! But that's fine! Thank you very much for taking care of me and Patrice and it will be a great pleasure to see you all NEXT YEAR! May you all stay safe and keep finding joy in taking care of all of us as your patients!
