Dr. Velasco was the the lead Cardiologist responding to my care the night that I arrived by Care Flight to Baylor, Scott and White in Dallas, January 2019. After unsuccessful Cath Lab treatment Dr. Velasco confered with Cardio colleagues and referred me for immediate open heart surgery due to systemic Cardio Vascular Disease resulting in a heart attack. My age was 59 and my health was good. With gratitude and thanksgiving I am blessed by the man and the Doctor. Dr. Velasco stayed present the entire night and fought for my life. He, my wife, a handful of saints, along with the surgeon who "fit me in" between two heart transplants - patched my heart and completed one by-pass - saw me through.
