My choice of hospital care for Corpus Christi. I am a repeat c-section patient for this facility and i am always handled with care and profession. I would choose this location for every time I give birth. The nurses, doctors, and remainder staff are all polite and caring. The nutrition staff is also very respectful and provide really good meals... helping to ensure a pleasant stay. Everything in this hospital was very clean and well organized as well.

Absolutely terrible experience. Was going through a miscarriage and not a care in the world. My vitals were scary and was bleeding heavily and in a lot of pain. The triage nurse was nasty and rude. No protocols were being followed. Hospital was dirty and no toilet paper had to ask twice for toilet paper and over 5 times for help, only when the doctor seen my vital was I cared for through an ekg and finally given meds. They left me in the lobby for over 4 hours with no help no care at all while they talked and joked about their families and Christmas plans. Had to go to the back to use bathroom only to see over 5 room s open and everyone just casually talking and joking around with each other. Originally there were only 2 of us in the waiting room. The other lady they called a sepsis alert for while she was in the lobby slouched over a wheelchair. They had the nerve to ask her to move her car or it would be towed. She ended up stumbling to her vehicle and leaving with an IV in her arm. They took care of patients that came after me and got their bloodwork while I waited 2 hours hours to get mine and 2 1/2 hours to get my ultrasound. They were doing all of this for people who came after me. Finally when my vitals got even worse and it took a doctor to see this, only then was I finally given care. That triage nurse and this hospital should be sued for not practicing proper protocols for emergencies and for lack of care causing pain and suffering in patients as well as malpractice. They were willing to let me die and that is unacceptable

My experience at Spohn South was the most professional and angelic at the same time. From the nurses, doctors to technicians doing tests were so very kind. They explained everything that was happening and going to happen. I went in as an emergency patient and then admitted to ICU, the staff there were so wonderful and kind. There are no words that can do justice to describe how great the nurses and doctors were. I was a very complex patient with extreme list of allergies and they were very attentive when giving me new medications. They took very good care of me and I'm so appreciative. They made me feel like I was their grandmother/family. I am so appreciative for their kindness and professionalism. Thank you nurses and doctors in Er and ICU.

My wife had a routine procedure appropriate for her age. All of the staff were fantastic. I took good care of her. They treated me very well. I thought the cafeteria food was overpriced, but the staff were nice. Having worked in hospital environments for many years, I was very impressed with their overall bedside manner.

Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had at a trauma center. I stood for 4 hours only to be released after they spaghetti at the wall to see what stuck. I would rather die than go back to this er. The people were nice. But the care was primitive. The Va director is aware of the treatment I did not receive and an investigation is warranted as I was aware. As a disabled veteran at 100% my care was worse than I was in combat.
