CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi - Shoreline Emergency Room

I feel like they did everything to make sure I had a positive outcome. The nurses are great they go above and beyond. The doctors who talk to me explain my condition and gave me confidence that I would get better. It is definitely the mothership for the hospital in Corpus Christi. I feel like because of the care and received at this hospital I'm able to fill out this review and continue having a good quality of life for my condition. I would just like to say or I wish I could say to everyone I encountered from dietitians the people that clean the rooms the nurses the doctors a surgeon that performed my surgery thank you

I had an unexpected stay at Shoreline but was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the hospital along with the skill set and knowledge of all of the nurses that took care of me. My urologist Dr. May was absolutely incredible and communicated so well throughout my entire stay I am beyond grateful for the entire team (custodial, nutrition etc.)

I was admitted to Shoreline via ER. The ER team at Spohn South was amazing prior to being transported to Shoreline. Nurses Julie, Becky, Victoria, Ryan, Marcos and Erik (food delivery person) was amazing. I was made to feel welcomed and you could tell they truly cared for me. They took time to carry conversations with me that kept me out of my head. They kept me from feeling sick. They are an amazing team and I'm grateful that they not only cared for my physical but also my mental well-being. Thank you all! P.S. I hope I got everyone's name listed.

If I could give zero stars I would. Please don't send your loved one here. While most of the ICU nurses were great with my mom the nurses on the neuro floor were dismissive and defensive. She left with absolutely no follow up plan with the neurosurgeon and 26 staples in her head that were already 11 days old. We asked every day when these would be taken out but our concerns were dismissed. We were told pathology would be back in 3 days. It has been 2 weeks and we still haven't heard anything. Leaking IVs, phlebitis, shingles!! All dismissed by nursing. The nurses on that floor must be experiencing burn out or something. I don't know but they certainly forgot what nursing care is supposed to be about. The only one that did seem to care about our concerns was a new nurse. I hope she transfers off that floor before she picks up those habits.

My husband was admitted there cause he needs bypass surgery. After 4 days of them feeding him and of course all the meds and blood work, etc... then they say they are letting him go home and reschedule for him to come back which I thought was ok but they take their time releasing him, he did leave on his own. But he never got a straight answer from anyone about the procedure. The surgeon never talked to him. Some nurses were very nice but they really don't communicate with each other well. So my husband is planning on going somewhere else and hopefully will get the surgery he needs instead of waiting and waiting.
