I've been going to Dr. Cristol for about 20 years. I have always felt like I got top quality care. He explains things carefully and extends options, not demands. I find his manner very comfortable. He's not going to joke around with you but that's not what I go to a cardiologist for. Outstanding doctor

Dr. Cristol has been my cardiologist for about 18 years and I trust him and his knowledge with all my heart. He always make me feel reassured and listened to. He's been with me through some rough times and I sure am glad he was! Amy Smith

Nice guy but his office has a serious problem with scheduling. I show up 30 minutes early...my appt time comes and goes by 30 minutes...everyone in the waiting room is looking at their phones and watches. Last time, I waited an hour in the exam room before he showed. I going to have to go to someone else

I went in to see him in 2022 after years of seeing various specialist who couldn't figure out what was wrong with me and discovering a symptom I hadn't noticed before, tachycardia upon standing. He ordered several tests and scheduled a follow up, which I was already nervous about because he was incredibly rude during that first appointment. Went to the follow up and he walks in, sits down and looks at the test results for what very much seems to be the first time. He tells me that there's nothing wrong with me, and blames each of my symptoms on something different from medications, to age to weight. My husband politely asks if he had any thoughts as to wether it could be POTS. He rudely tells us it's not without ever even taking orthostatic vitals. I have since seen other doctors and have been diagnosed with POTS by Dr Amer Suleman via a tilt table test and am on medication, diet and exercise regimens and have finally gotten some quality of life back.

Unfortunately I had multiple terrible experiences with Dr. Cristol. He became needlessly defensive and even felt the need to assert his board certification after I asked if we could do any basic tests when he'd blown off my concerns related to very high heart rates. I was *not* calling into question his judgment. Indeed I suspected like he that my HR monitor was the problem (though others with the same have not had this problem). I, and many others, had suggested it was worth getting check out with heart issues in the family. This was all after generally poor bedside manner after not introducing himself after a long wait (almost a full hour) and began dictating to his laptop and boasting about how great that is. It was just a very odd way to initiate a patient/physician relationship. Fast forward to an EKG and stress test and blood work before seeing him again (each of these were fine -- he was not involved). On my final visit, I again sat in the waiting room over an hour. Finally a nurse pulled me back (the nurses and front office were always very kind), offered water, checked on me, etc. But after an hour and a half of still waiting to see if he'd show up I had to ask for my results before I had to leave.
I was referred to this cardiologist. I *hope* these were isolated cases. But he came across as very disrespectful of others' time and, I think, assumes too little of his patients.
