Patient
He has TERRIBLE BED-SIDE MANNERS. I had a HORRIBLE experience with this doctor. He initially told me he couldn't prescribe me antidepressants due to me taking kratom, but said he would if I quit kratom. I was addicted to kratom but got clean from it by going to treatment and was prescribed antidepressant meds by the treatment center. They referred me back to him to continue my meds post-treatment. I thought he could help me get a refill on my meds like he promised beforehand. He came in the room aggressively telling me he's not going to refill my prescription because he doesn't prescribe antidepressants as a primary care doctor, although he said he would do it in the previous appointment if it weren't for me doing kratom. I told him how other primary care doctors prescribed me meds for anxiety and depression, but he told me "I don't care what other doctors do, but I'm not doing it." Even though he has prescribed it for OTHER patients. And I was calm the entire time...I asked him "Are you okay? Why are you being so hostile with me?" "He rudely said "you're too smart for me" and got up and left with his nurse with no other follow up on my care. I just wanted to know why he was being aggressive from the moment he walked in. No hello or goodbye. Just got up and walked away. Very unprofessional with self-esteem issues. He has an issue with me for some reason and I truly believe it's because he knows I already have a background in Healthcare and have a Master's degree. He feels intimidated by other professionals and feels any knowledge you display about your own personal care is an attempt to challenge him on his own knowledge, when it's not. He clearly has egotistical issues and is not humble.. Seek a compassionate doctor elsewhere who cares to listen to his patients, has patience, and not just a doctor for status/ego. I gave him one last chance (my second visit), and this is the LAST. He had a horrible attitude the last time, although I remained calm and easy-going. He has terrible communication skills and speaks in a condescending manner to patients. Even the nurses (the one with the black hair that came in with him) looked at him like he has mental issues but they can't say anything out of fear of losing their job. She smiled back at me to let me know she's sorry for how he treated me. But I'm going elsewhere where the providers treat their patients like they matter.
