Wonderful clinic! Friendly professional staff. My physician consult, lab work, and recommended follow ups were all performed during my visit in a timely manner and in one building. Dr. Chakravorty was professional, kind, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

Patient

I received an echocardiogram on January 30, 2025. During a follow up visit with Dr. Chakravorty she never discussed the finding of a PFO. It wasn't until I resumed care with a former cardiologist on October 2nd that this was made known to me. He immediately suggested that we schedule an appointment to close the hole in my heart. Upon going back and reviewing my test results from the echocardiogram performed on 1/30/25 in MyChart did I discover it clearly identified the disorder, however she never diagnosed me with having this condition nor did she ever make mention of providing any treatment procedures to close the hole in my heart. I had insurance coverage BCBS at the time of service, not that it should make any difference. She should not be practicing medicine with this degree of incompetency Her medical staff in billing have been very rude and refused to schedule a nuclear stress test ordered stating Dr. Chakravorty had cancelled the test due to past cancellations. I was denied my appointment with DR Chakravorty on August 27, 2025 for non-payment. She consulted with me and suggested I go to the ER if I was experiencing chest pains. She was clearly only interested in payment, not for the welfare of her patient. She stated that she would not see me until I've gotten the nuclear stress test performed which she had ordered months ago. I agreed to schedule the test. Next Tuesday the day after Labor Day, I called to schedule an appointment for the test. I was told the test had been cancelled by Dr. Chakravorty. I explained it didn't make sense for her to cancel the test when I had seen her three days ago and she insisted I schedule the test. I asked to speak with the office manager, and left messages for her( Renae) to contact me. The following week I received confirmation that the order for the nuclear stress test wasn't cancelled and was active until February 2026. Clearly the scheduling staff found humor in giving me the go around. I was seen by another physician associated with Austin Regional Clinic who reconfirmed the nuclear stress test was still active and had not been cancelled. Once again I contacted Dr. Chakravorty's nurse to discuss the matter. She placed me on a long hold only to return stating the test had been cancelled due to past failed attempts to have the test done. I let her know that due to recent health concerns I am taking a more responsible attempt to get the test completed. She continued to go back and forth with me as to why they couldn't schedule the test and suggested that I go to the ER if I was in pain. At this point I contacted patient advocate and she was very helpful in getting the office manager to contact me. She stated she talked with Dr Chakravorty and she stated that I wasn't interested in having the test performed because I couldn't afford it which was a lie I never stated that. In fact I was anxious to have the test completed ASAP due to my BCBS coverage ending by the end of September 2025. Unfortunately once the test was scheduled, it was for October 6-7. I got a call from her scheduling team Friday regarding insurance coverage and how did I want to pay for the charges. I stated to bill it to my account. She stated okay! October 6th upon arrival I was told that the payment for the visit would be $868. I stated to bill it to my account, she (Moyrah R.) insisted that the full amount must be paid in order to have the test performed. She gaslight me as she had done previously stating that I had cancelled appointments in the past, which clearly didn't have anything to do with the current conversation. Not to mention the inappropriate smirk grin on her face and her judgemental tone. I wouldn't suggest anyone be seen by her nor her team. I left disheartened and started I would consult with patient advocate. I received a call from Renae, the office manager wanting to inquire about my cancelled appointment. I notified her of the incident that occurred earlier that day and she apologized stating that I would hear from patient advocate and she would investigate the matter.

Very satisfied with encounter with Dr Ripa C. Cardiologist and all office staff. Dr Ripa anticipated my questions and addressed them before I even asked. She was very attentive and empathetic.

Patient

Chakravorty tallks too much but doesn't listen - a cardinal crime for any doctor. Very perfunctory, and dismissive. This consultation was a waste of my time.
