Erol Ozdil, MD

Dr Ozdil gave me life-saving surgery by placing 3 stents. I'd been having chest pain and extreme exhaustion and cardiac events when just walking half a block, while 2 months prior, I was able to walk 3 miles, no problem. Besides my regular doctor, I had gone to the Heart Hospital of Austin. To my surprise, the young doctor there didn't seem to think it was very serious, despite my explanations, and he just prescribed more tests in a month, I presume because I looked fine when sitting in the office. "Ok, if I'm still alive then, I'll take the test, but it doesn't feel like that's a sure thing". I had explained that I was able to walk for miles 2 months ago, but can't walk a block without resting now, and that I had to rest 2 times just walking to his office from the parking lot. Dr Ozdil was recommended to me by another doctor, so I saw him a couple days later. Dr Ozdil was clearly more experienced, knew right away how serious it was, and he didn't want to let me leave without scheduling surgery ASAP that would likely require a stent. Due to the big swing in professional opinions I regrettably put it off a week, against his recommendation, (though I shouldn't have). I had the surgery then, and I was 95% blocked in one heart artery area and 90% in another, requiring 3 stents. I had pushed it into the final days before I would have either had a heart attack or died (largely because the other doctors were giving bad advice). I was 47 or 48 years old at the time, which may have something to do with why the other doctors didn't recognize the severity of my situation. I've been great since the stents, and can walk as long as I want with no cardio issues. I feel better than I have in a long time. Had I not been lucky enough to have been recommended and found Dr Ozdil, I probably would have pushed it even farther (based on other doctors' bad judgement), and I might not have survived.

It's all very good. I appreciate that Dr Ozdil listens to me. He and his staff always follow up regarding any concerns he has or I have.

I've been going to Dr. Ozdil for several years now and the care is compassionate, they take the best care of me. I cannot say enough good things about them because they've always been attentive, interested, and listening to what I have to say. Thank you to each and everyone of his office staff and especially to Dr. Ozdil.

Dr. Ozdil and his staff are awesome. I had a tight schedule, they saw me early and I got in and out without delay. They are very considerate of my time. I greatly appreciate their compassionate Professionalism. Thank you!

Dr Ozdil has worked very hard to take care of my heart problem. Very caring, takes his time, explains things where we can understand will listen to our concerns & finds solutions. His Office staff are polite, professional & will make appointments that will work with our schedule, when I called because of a concern about meds his staff will call back promptly with an Answer from the Dr. I highly recommend Dr. Ozdil clinic & staff
