Life-Changing results! Dr. Jordan Handcox did a total hip replacement (THA) using the anterior approach which is her certified specialty. Now at 3 months post-op recovery, I'm back to normal activities minus the limp and all the osteoarthritis pain. Back in the gym, full range of motion, walking gait normal, no pain. Totally awesome to be back up to speed, I was a very active 75 prior to accelerated decline in cartilage wearing out on the ball joint of my right hip. Don't hesitate to see Dr. Handcox for a consultation and exam if you have hip pain, the pain only gets worse. This surgery is truly miraculous. Dr. Handcox and her team is always straightforward with user-friendly explanations so patients fully understand about the surgery itself and recovery. Her team coordinated all the details prior to surgery; gave me clear instructions on navigating the check-in process on the day of surgery at BSW Austin-Oak Hill. The nursing staff was incredibly attentive and caring during my overnight stay at Oak Hill. Dr. Handcox came to check on me twice. And her team streamlined the transfer process the next morning with transportation to Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital. I highly recommend the inpatient recovery at Encompass for a 7-14 day stay after surgery. The in-patient rehabilitation period is typically covered by insurance/medicare, and includes 24 hour nursing staff, pain management, and daily rehab sessions that include all the training and therapy devices you'll need for doing your daily activities after you return home. Just ask Dr. Handcox and her team can help coordinate the whole process prior to surgery date. It's life-changing!

Check in was great, nurses were great, but the MD Adam Rodrigues, was very nonchalant. He does not exemplify beneficence and when asked additional questions in relation to my injury, he proceeded to tell me he wasn't "a foot doctor" and couldn't help. If he doesn't want to treat the patient respectfully and dislikes his job, he should look into another field. I am a nurse myself and based on his treatment alone, I will not be returning to this location.

Amazing staff, like seriously amazing! I felt so comfortable and at ease here despite the fact I was about to have to have surgery. They really made me feel calm which I am super thankful for. Nurse Chelsea and Nurse David were phenomenal and so knowledgeable. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!

"I love to go to the ER", said no one ever. I wanted to leave a review for Angie and Lindsay, from the radiology department. These ladies were AWESOME!! I won't bore with details but wanted to ensure they were acknowledged for their wonderful personalities and making things easier during a stressful time for me. Thank you!

I had hand surgery with Dr Casstevens at the Oak Hill hospital last Thursday. The pre-op nurse, Cassie Davidson, went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. She made the experience wonderful. The operating room nurses were fantastic, too. Scott & White warms their blankets and pre-op prep wipes so you don't freeze and they continuously ask if you need anything. Today I Recieved a personalized card from the staff. S&W kudos to you for owning the relationship from start to finish and beyond
