Texas Health Heart & Vascular Hospital Arlington

Fantastic, professional, courteous, personable, above and beyond first class care all the way down the line! From the surgeons, doctors, nurses, and their staff, to the valet parking attendants and the Atrium Cafeteria and Bistro, I've never been so impressed by any other hospital.

Dr. Mark Teng, Cardiologist, is terrible, dismissive, does not care. Our mother was transferred via ambulance to Dr. Teng from another hospital for chest pain and extremely high blood pressure. Dr. Teng did NOT evaluate my mother before telling us that 'It isn't her heart that is causing these problems because the bloodwork is fine and shows no sign of heart attack'. He did NOT review the records from the prior hospital before talking with us. If he did review the records afterwards he did NOT tell us his opinions. He told her to double her blood pressure medication and follow up with her PCP. He did NOT ask if she tracked her blood pressure readings, which she does. Had he done that he would have realized that her blood pressure is all over the place and doubling the medication would have been very dangerous. A nurse practitioner came later and actually had a conversation with us. At that time she determined that she did NOT need to double the medication but to follow certain parameters with her readings. Rude, curt, no empathy.

This is the best hospital I've ever been to! All staff were the most kind caring compassionate people I have ever had the pleasure of having take care of me we need more people like these guys!The very cleanest and beautiful place, Dr Bhargava is the most amazing doctor and wouldn't trust my heart with anyone else!!! I strongly recommend it!!!

The Heart Hospital was very good to me and nurses and Drs were available promptly when needed. Dr. Shah is awesome and listened to me. He knew I was in Texas by myself and made sure I understood everything he was doing whether it was prescribing simple meds or specifics about the heart cath he would perform. My stress was off the charts, I was scared and worried. The nurses (Nick in particular) were absolutely amazing as well. Thank you for taking such good care of me last July and August of 2023. My thanks you too. . This experience sure was better than the first visit I had at Arlington Memorial Sept of 2014 when I was there for a week with salmonella poisoning. That was a horrible experience. So this time was so much better. Even though I was only in the ER area of Arlington Memorial this time, the Dr and nurse there were wonderful this time and made up for my experience 10 years ago. So I would definitely recommend Texas Health Heart & Vascular Hospital hands down. Thank you all and thank you for caring for people who are at such a vulnerable state while there.

The anesthesia team (thanks, Dr. Plemons!) was really careful to work around my medical issues, everyone was helpful and patient with all my questions, and Dr. Al-Assi did an amazing job explaining and performing the procedure.
