Dr. McCain is wonderful. But one of his nurses continually gives a hard time. I have had 5 strokes. I had forgotten to write down 3 of my appointments and missed them. That was about a year ago. Since then I have made all my appointments. Sometimes due to a lack of funds, I need to reschedule. The nurse that to runs his office continually says something about the appointments I messed a year ago. She embarrasses me in front of other patients in his office. I can't read because of my strokes. I love Dr. McCain but his nurse that runs the office is the one causing me to want to change doctors.

The wait time was over an hour. Literally an hour and a half so these physicians here in Abilene expect us to be at their mercy. They won't see us until we pay them however we are supposed to wait until they feel like they should see us after they're overbooked and then if you voice your concern. All the staff does is become rude.

Dr McCain saw my husband and was extremely helpful. He was honest and knowledgeable about everything. We had to bring our med bottles to the first appointment so the staff could make sure all medications were entered correctly. They asked us not to bring a list, which is understandable, we had no idea there where so many different types of the same medication and leaving off something could change it completely. The reminder calls were not an issue and we appreciated the reminder to bring the bottles and arrive early for paperwork. The staff was professional and amazing. The nurse called with results of testing and was just as professional as she was at our very first visit. When we had an issue and had to call asking questions, we appreciated her asking multiple questions to make sure she was getting all the information she could to relay to the doctor. She made us feel confident in the care we were receiving. She let us know she would be discussing it with the doctor and would call back. She returned our call in a timely manner and was so nice about it. Every worry I had, she eased and would talk to me like I was important. We are not the only patient and I appreciated her making me feel like even the most silly question deserved an answer. The front staff was amazing and sweet. The ladies in this office are one of a kind and I wish every office had this kind of staff. Thank you to this office for giving my husband and myself the respect and care you have given. I will recommend this office to anyone that ever asks who they should see cardiology wise.

If I could leave a 0 star, I would. My wife was referred to Dr. McCain, but was told she'd see Dr. Farley. Not an issue. The issue was with the blonde lady in their office that was rude to my wife, not only on the phone before the appointment (twice), but when we arrived. When we arrived, we were told they needed our prescription in the bottle. My wife always gets a new one, so we always have an updated list. She had forgotten to get bottles before her appointment. No other doctors ask for physical prescription, just list. They wouldn't except the list and said we'd have to call the pharmacy and have them fax the list. The pharmacy wouldn't do it unless my wife came there and signed off for them, or the doctor's office called and requested it. We told them that and the lady said "That's not how it works." I told my wife we will find another cardiologist. My wife deals with a lot of doctors, unfortunately, because of cancer 3 times and issues it brought about. We have never been treated so horribly. Also, the office smells like a dog/dog pee and hair and other things on the floor. I love dogs, but ..She must be related to one other the doctor's to think she can treat patients/customers this way.
