He specializes in complex aortic surgery (aortic aneurysms and aortic dissections), transcatheter aortic valve replacement and all aspects of adult cardiac surgery. Dr. Gibson feels fortunate to work with team of skilled surgeons, cardiologists, advanced practice providers, nurses and others to provide the best care possible for his patients. In 2010, he was a part of a team that began implanting an exciting new device, a heart valve that could be put in without traditional surgery (TAVR, or trans-aortic valve replacement). Dr. Gibson accepts telehealth appointments.

My appointment with Dr Gibson went well. I felt a little more confident in regard to my upcoming surgery in January. My son came with me to provide emotional support and ask needed questions. His staff were so helpful in answering questions and assured me to call with additional questions before surgery. I really appreciated it and felt some relief pre-surgery.
Dr. Gibson was my surgeon for emergency heart surgery. I was visiting my daughter in Spring Hill when it occurred and thankfully she knew the right places to take me. I was in the best of hands the whole time. Dr. Gibson was so caring and concerned and responded to all my questions. I live in Cookeville but I definitely was at the right place to be cared for. Cannot say enough about my stay. Dr. Gibson was the best.
Dr Gibson is an excellent surgeon. He is thorough, and takes the time to ask you all pertinent questions and answer any questions you may have during your follow up visits. He also supports calling and additional visits for any concerns you may have. I would recommend him to everyone who needs a Dr with his exceptionally skilled expertise. I will be forever thankful to Dr. Gibson for his part in quite literally saving my life .
Dr.Gibson is the Word he is honest I have so much respect for the Doctors that I have came to known My doctors are Dr. Gibson, Dr. Riddick, Dr.Gentry im so lucky their Nurses the floors are the bomb I recommend anyone who is serious about taking care of themselves and care about life and need a heart adjustment just Go God appointed these doctors I felt that and I know im in good hands.
