Dr. Dalal is a very nice doctor He explains everything to me so I am able to understand it, what he needs to do and he sets a follow up time to make sure everything is going great. To me he's one of my best doctors. Thank you.

My father has had a stent put in his heart recently. His calcium score was high. He has a genetic protein called lipo a or lipoprotein (a). (A high level of lipoprotein (a) may mean you have a high risk for heart disease and stroke. Lipoproteins are particles made of protein and fats (lipids). They carry cholesterol through your bloodstream to your cells.) My father wanted me to check for this genetic protein on myself so I made an apt with Dr. Ajay Dalal the cardiologist. He stated that unless my cholesterol and calcium score are high, there is no need to check for this protein. This is incorrect information and my fathers cardiologist has STRONGLY suggested that I get checked for this protein. I have done a lot of research myself and patients should be tested for this protein especially if their parents carry it! This cardiologist did not listen to my request. I understand that some labs do not measure this protein the way that they should but in this case the doctor needs to find a lab that does and listen to the patient request. Also, Dr. Ajay Dalal's phone staff is extremely unprofessional and rude. (With the exeption of one front desk who was professional and friendly as well as his medical student.) All other staff members were extremely rude and unproffesional at either the front desk, the lab and over the phone. The app that is used for patients to check results called Follow My Health, is extremely difficult to access (not user friendly) and 0 results get updated. I strongly believe that this is due to the fact that the staff is not posting results as quickly as they should. Results should be posted right away as soon as nurses and staff have them.
