Patient
I am writing to provide feedback regarding a recent experience, which I hope you will take into consideration. I must begin by expressing my sincere appreciation for the exemplary service provided by the nursing staff, including the ultrasound nurse, who were all fantastic and incredibly supportive. Their professionalism and care made a significant positive impression. Additionally, the receptionist was exceptionally pleasant and demonstrated remarkable helpfulness, ensuring a smooth administrative process. However, my consultation with the doctor was unfortunately a stark contrast to these positive interactions. His demeanor was noticeably rude and dismissive, creating a distinct impression that my presence was an imposition or that I was unnecessarily delaying him. While I understand that medical consultations can involve delivering uncertain news, such as the possibility of an outcome that "may or may not work," the manner in which he communicated this information was highly unprofessional and, frankly, quite unpleasant. Furthermore, his repeated questioning, asking if I understood what he was saying, came across as condescending and utterly ridiculous. When a patient is quiet after receiving potentially challenging or sensitive news, it often indicates they are processing the information rather than a lack of comprehension. To constantly probe in such a way felt disrespectful and added unnecessary distress to the consultation. Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable seeing this particular doctor again. I believe that professional and empathetic communication is paramount in healthcare, and this was severely lacking in my interaction with him. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Edgwina Mobley
