William E Blalock, III, MD, F.A.C.C., who is board-certified in nuclear cardiology and cardiovascular diseases, earned his medical degree from the Bowman Gray School of Medicine, Wake Forest University, in Winston-Salem, NC. He completed internship and residency programs at Vanderbilt University, and completed fellowship training in cardiology from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX.

New patient referral. Was given the "first available appointment" about 8 weeks out. Approximately 10 days before that appointment, I was called and told that they had to move my aopointmrjt another 8 weeks because my current one was on his "hospital day". When I asked why in the world they'd schedule me for an office visit that they, I got a "I don't know".
I'm no doctor but I feel like the heard is important enough to be seen much earlier than 16 weeks. There was no concern, no apology, no nothing. So, I'm going to a different cardiologist. If you need one quickly, you should too.

I would not recommend going to see him if you want someone who listens. He didn't not hear a single thing I said or symptom and just made up his own narrative based on his judgments on one look at me. He even said he didn't understand why my primary sent me even though my I had tests from her office saying otherwise. He never Asked me questions about my symptoms and was only stuck on my exercising and losing weight. I do not recommend and surely there is more efficient and caring cardiologist in Chattanooga area.
