I underwent minimally invasive cardiac surgery at Apollo,Hyd by the most amazing Dr AGK Gokhale on 02 April 2025 and got discharged within 5 days. When I was diagnosed with blockages by my cardiologist in Vizag who recommended cabg, I almost freaked out with fear. I prayed hard to God and he sent me to this godly Doctor who did an excellent job. I trusted him totally. I am forever indebted to Dr Gokhale. From the very beginning, he patiently answered all my questions. No question was silly for him. Thorough care was taken by him and his team. He took personal care to see that I could get a risk free surgery with the best possible outcome. For instance, when it was discovered that I had a mild UTI after getting admitted for surgery and clearing all other tests, he was super cautious and first treated my UTI. He explained that it was for my safety and postponed my surgery which was scheduled for an earlier date in March. We had come from Vizag and wanted to return as early as possible. But no, safety first, he said. I was so happy to get such a caring doctor. I understand that he personally kept in touch with the lab to monitor my infection through culture test etc. I got discharged and readmitted for the surgery only after he was satisfied that I was fit for it. Even such a small infection was not overlooked. Which is probably why I had a good surgery. His team of surgeons, anesthesiologists etc too interacted very well. During surgery he took steps and decisions which delighted me when I came out of anesthesia. I won't go into those details here but only an experienced doctor like him could do that. Totally totally trust what he did. Two days in ICU were the hardest as expected. Both days he spoke to me, monitored me and gave the appropriate instructions to the ICU team. Even in that anaesthetic haze I remember every word he said. I was moved by his meticulous care. I stayed for 3 days more in the hospital monitored by his wonderful team.Suddenly I found myself fit to be discharged on 07 April, barely 5 days post surgery! I have also to thank his whole team. I seem to be recovering well! It's early days but I feel good. Dr Gokhale instils confidence in the patient and bonds so well. May God always bless him! Can you fault me for loving my doctor?? Dr. Gokhale is the best Cardiologist & Surgeon and also a wonderful Human Being. Both my parents are his patient and it has been 10 years since my Father's CABG (ByPass - Open Heart Surgery).
