Lexington Cardiology

I had an appointment with Dr. Amy Epps in 2023, and the experience was absolutely unacceptable. She was rude, dismissive, and actually told me it was "normal" for a 30-year-old woman to have a heart rate ranging from the 130s to 175 bpm. She said that my PCP could maintain my medications. Fast forward, I ended up in the ER because of an episode on multiple occasions, and now I can't seem to get an appointment with her or her team at all. I even called and left a voicemail with the office manager, and a week later; still no follow-up. To make matters worse, the receptionist was incredibly rude, spoke over me several times, and ultimately hung up on me. This level of care and professionalism is appalling. I absolutely do NOT recommend this doctor or her team.

Dr. Robert Malanuk, Dr. Will Brabham and P. A. Catie Rainsford have provided me with the best care for over a decade. Their attention to detail is outstanding. They communicate on a level that makes any patient feel at ease. I highly recommend them. I would give them 6 stars if it were possible.

Horrible access to care. I had a referral from the VA, waited a week and called to schedule an appointment. I was told the referral had to be reviewed because it was for Electrophysiology and I would receive a call when approved. Never received a call..... I called back 2 weeks later and was told first they didn't have a referral. Then told again it was under review and then told it would be 4 weeks until a decision was made. I asked, if I was to make an appointment today, when is the next available appointment with Electrophysiology. I was told my appointment would be the end of July. It is now June 10th. Therefore, between the referral review time of 4 weeks and the next available appointment being over 4 weeks out. It would be about 3 months until I could even have an initial appointment at Lexington Cardiology. This is horrible access to care. I wish I could rate the care received from the doctors, but seeing as how I will never see a doctor I cannot. This is completely unacceptable. Do better. I will be seeing a different practice. I am sure you have fantastic physicians working at Lexington Cardiology, but this means nothing if there is no access to see them. Now, I have to start the whole process over again at a new practice. While in the meantime, I am still having episodes of SVTs (tachycardia) and my heart rate is dropping into the 30's (bradycardia) on many occasions. Lexington cardiology could care less.

Dr. William D. Brearley, Jr., consistently demonstrates concern and care for his patients. His professionalism and attentiveness instill a sense of faith and confidence that I greatly appreciate. He is a wonderful doctor who listens to my needs and explains everything. He saved my life. Best of the best! Lexington Cardiology is the gold standard for care.

I called several times to get directions because it was my 1st appointment with them. No one answered and I called atleast 5xs. When I got inside the lady at the front desk was rude and said I was placed as a no show. Then they wouldn't reschedule me and said I'll get a phone call later that day. Never got a phone call. I'll be looking for a cardiologist in the Prisma network.
