This office has proven to be highly unprofessional and disorganized. Reaching someone by phone is nearly impossible, and on the rare occasion when someone does answer, the representative is unhelpful and appears to lack the necessary knowledge to assist with scheduling an appointment. Moreover, the information provided has been inconsistent and, at times, blatantly false. Each interaction with the receptionist has been met with a dismissive attitude, leaving the impression that calling the office is a burden to her. My mother was referred to this office from the emergency room, and we were informed that someone would contact us to schedule a follow-up appointment. After waiting over a week without receiving any communication, I took the initiative to call the office myself. When I called on a Friday, I was told that referrals are not processed on Fridays and that I should call back on Monday or Tuesday. However, when I called first thing Monday morning, I was informed that referrals are not accepted on Mondays either, and I should call back on Wednesday. This lack of consistency and unwillingness to assist is completely unacceptable. I expressed my concerns and requested a referral to another cardiologist. The receptionist advised me to contact North Grove. I did so, and with just one call, I was able to secure an appointment for my mother for the following week. Save yourself the time and avoid this office and go straight to North Grove!

Never had a problem with the main office when my mother was seeing Dr. O'Quinn, but now that he has left and she had her first visit at the newer office to see Dr.Virgadamo we had a problem with the front office staff. Her appointment was at 10:15am, she received a text to arrive early which she did and immediately checked in. At 10:45 we're still waiting so I go to find out why. Apparently, according to them, she never checked in. The girl that "checked her in" said that she did not.

Update: this review has 2 stars because I'm still hoping my procedure did not make my condition worse. If you're considering this doctor's office for your heart needs be prepared for: 1. Never getting call backs/response. If you do, they take a minimum of 48 hours. Even insurance and other providers are not treated with any level of urgency. Their portal (which is subpar) also does not yield any results. 2. Fluctuating compassion at best. There are times the clinical staff seem to care and times they treat your concern and fear with borderline contempt. They do this daily and yet seem to have no understanding of the importance of the heart to life. 3. They do not inquire how they are doing/seek review. They are aware they perform poorly and will not ask for help improving. 4. They offer conflicting information and no support. I had a minor procedure done and was told I should have no further symptoms - if I do, go to the ER. 2 ER trips and 48 hours of no call back, the doctor says the ER can't really help and is not a good place to go, to seek help from my GP, and that some symptoms are to be expected. I was also told my follow up would be pushed up - not only did this not happen, but inquiries were ignored. 5. They have 2 office buildings (next door to each other). They will not tell you which one to go to until you've gone to the wrong one. 6. The doctors are surgeons primarily and will avoid dealing with patients where at all possible. A probable reason for the lack of bedside manner. 7. They will charge you for any forms the doctor has to fill out concerning FMLA and others. 8. The front desk staff can be borderline rude on the phone. This is likely due to them getting yelled at all day over the clinical staff's failures. This has been my experience in less than 2 months. You have a choice. You can find an electrophysiologist elsewhere.
