The Heart Center at Piedmont Medical Center

Our experience with the Heart Center was excellent and improved any opinion we had held about the hospital. By the time we arrived at the hospital, they already knew we were coming and were waiting to escort us to a room. Not only was the surgeon (Dr. Zakow) very nice and highly skilled but all the nurses who took care of my husband were excellent. The nurses were caring, competent, and friendly. Before surgery, the nurses explained each detail of what was happening and going to happen. After surgery, the nurses (including traveling nurses) often when out of their way to make sure he was as comfortable as possible. We are very thankful to all the nurses and staff on the floor, the surgical team, and the excellent nursing staff in ICU. I'm very thankful the Piedmont Heart Center kept my husband alive and helped him recover so he could celebrate his birthday a month later.

I had a heart cath performed for the first time recently. I couldn't be more complimentary of the staff from the minute I arrived at 5:45 am until my discharge at around noon. My nurse Jennifer put me at ease from the beginning, she was terrific in all areas. For my procedure, the mrdical care was outstanding, i cant say enough about this group of professionals. From the receptionist, my nurse, to the assistants, to the doctors performing the procedure showed nothing but class.

My aunt was admitted. Nursing staff completely ignored the family. As a nurse I am deeply saddened by their performance.
