My daughter recently delivered her baby at Piedmont Hospital, and the care she received was outstanding. After many hours of labor with no progression, she required a semi-emergency C-section. When the baby was born without a heartbeat or breathing, the team responded immediately and revived him. Their skill and quick action made all the difference. He is now in the NICU, where the nurses and staff have been exceptional--attentive, compassionate, and highly professional. Although I initially had concerns about her delivering at Piedmont, the Labor & Delivery and NICU teams far exceeded my expectations. We are truly grateful for the incredible care provided during such a critical time.

As a first time mother, I will forever be grateful to Piedmont Medical Center for saving both my life and my baby's life. I went into labor almost three months early, terrified and in shock, but the moment I arrived the nurses and doctors moved instantly. They rushed me into an operating room, worked as a team, and delivered my daughter! Most importantly bringing her back to us after she coded twice. They are the reason we are here today. The NICU team truly became our family. They loved her like their own, and cared for her through 68 long days. The nurses dressed her up for holidays, cuddled her when I had to be at work, and comforted me through my fears as a new mom of a preemie. The NICU doctors, Dr. Bhatt and Dr. Waddell, checked on us every morning and remembered the little details of my life that made me feel seen and supported. We still send them updates on our baby girl, because although I don't miss my baby being in the hospital, I do miss our NICU nurses deeply. They are truly heaven sent! Each one with a story, a purpose, and a passion for caring for those tiny babies. Leaving my baby each day was the hardest thing I've ever done, but the comfort, compassion, and pure love from this team made it bearable. Piedmont Medical Center will always hold a special place in our hearts. They didn't just save us, they carried us through.

My mother fell and broke her knee cap on Saturday evening while I was at work I rushed up to Piedmont to be by her side and was astonished at the service we received. I've always been raised you go to Piedmont to die and have had my own horrible experiences but night shift nurse McKenzie Trell completely changed my mindset. She is not only an amazing young lady but nurse as well. She made not just my mom but I feel like we mattered and as if we were being taken care of by an old family friend wed known for years. Hated to see shift change come as the emergency room night shift here is 100% amazing and definitely could offer day shift some pointers in compassion and care. Thank you McKenzie for your dedication and heart for others we wish you much success in your family and career and truly hope Piedmont acknowledges and appreciates the gem you are.

Every time I use this hospital there is always an issue. Here is the most recent experience that has solidified my review: So as of now my wife's PCP, ER, and local neurology clinic are refusing to see her while her vision is slowly dissipating... Last week my wife had eye pain and decided to go to the optometrist to see if she needs a new prescription. Her optometrist freaked out and told her she needs to go to her PCP or the ER immediately last Wed. The optometrist called her PCP multiple times and they weren't bothered. My wife called and the nurses originally refused to pass the information along to the doctor and then said they passed it on and he'd get back to her. Friday we had enough and I took her to Piedmont ER. The optometrist said she needed an MRI and most likely a spinal tap. We calmly walked into the ER and handed over the paperwork and were told you can't just walk in off the street to get an MRI. We explained to the MRI staff that we understood but my wife's vision is going away and the PCP refused to help. The staff was very accusatory asking if my wife was a drinker/smoker and how we got this doctor's note. Nearly all female staff were extremely rude being condescending "oh its just a headache" (remember the optometrist has told my wife she has images and to get it addressed or she will go blind or worst). We deny this and the female staff continue to be rude. No one would listen until I got a male doctor. The male doctors were nice but I felt like they thought we were crazy too. Fun fact my wife had a blood pressure of 183/121 and the staff didn't bat an eye. Now, I am no physician, but I would think BP that high would need to be addressed. So the staff tells my wife they will have to admit her for an MRI because they don't just let anyone get one (again, is there some issue where people are walking into ER's to ride the MRI like It's a Small World?). While we are waiting the doctor comes in to tell us that he has spoken with a local clinic and they know about us and are happy to get us scheduled on Saturday (the clinic is closed on Saturdays). Otherwise they wouldn't be able to schedule my wife until at least Saturday or even Monday and she wouldn't be able to leave the hospital. So we tell them we will leave and schedule with the clinic. Monday morning my wife called and the clinic told her they don't do MRI's (despite it being on their website) and have not received any information about her and they aren't going to let someone just walk in and get an MRI. So my wife is slowly losing her vision, her PCP will not even speak with her, Piedmont ER diagnosed her with a headache, and the clinic that Piedmont said they sent her information to never received any information and is refusing to see her because no one sent information. We are looking at moving just to be closer to a hospital with more competent staff.

This was my 2nd visit at this hospital. My first visit was to the ER. Horrendous experience! I was definitely skeptical of returning to this hospital. This visit was with the Women's Center. The staff that delt with me were very pleasant. My two nurses, Charli and Mekelle, were phenomenal! Very caring and informative. I was there for a couple procedures. They took great care of me! Nurses in the operation room were also pleasant and caring. Night and day difference from my prior visit. Thank you all whom helped me in anyway this visit!
