I like him and those of his staff whom I have met. Very professional, easy to understand and talk to. Answered all of our questions and did not leave til we assured him we were comfortable with him and had no unspoken concerns or questions.

I consulted with Dr D concerning an aortic valve replacement. Dr D took his time to explain the valve replacement options. He covered the risk factors, pros and cons. I felt very confident with the decision that was made. His staff covered all the preliminary details. The visit was a very comprehensive explanation of the before, during, and after details. As important as my decision was, I had no doubts I decided on the best way to proceed. Not looking forward to the recovery pains, but the long-term benefits out weighed the short term hurt. I was very impressed with the doctor and his staff. The visit took away any concern of the risks and the not so good aspects. The pro aspects made the choice for me. I would recommend Dr D, his staff, Grand Strand Heart and Vascular to anyone with cardiac issues and seek care. I am confident there are no other heart care practices that can provide excellent care than Grand Strand Heart and Vascular and the team members.

Dr.D was very caring and thorough. He explained my upcoming surgery in detail and made me feel much better about going into surgery than before my appointment. I am very glad he will be with me in the OR even though I won't remember anything. Thank you for being so kind and patient with us.

I have just met him... he is professional in appearance, empathetic in demeanor, knowledgeable in his field, friendly and sincere, and anxious for you, the patient, to know what your diagnosis is and what he has to do to help you. He took the extra time to answer my questions and be sure that I knew what was going to happen. I certainly hope my first impression is correct, because I am, literally, putting my life in his hands!

We met with Dr. D on Thursday to discuss my upcoming surgery and he was Excellent. He explained the surgical procedure and answered all of our questions in a way that we could relate to. His staff is friendly and supportive. My surgery is scheduled and I am reassured that I will be on the road to recovery soon.
