CareNow Urgent Care - Carolina Forest

By far, the worst medical experience I've had in my lifetime. I put a drill through my hand while working in the garage. I got the bleeding to stop, but was in a lot of pain and the hand was doubled in size due to swelling. I called them - no sense of urgency or concern. Just told me to go online and make a reservation. I did. I received a text an hour later saying I'm next in line. Had my neighbor drive me. Got there, and they said there are multiple people ahead of me. I had to wait another hour+ to be seen. The nurse showed no concern either, and asked irrelevant questions to the issue. She didn't even clean my wound at first. She left, saying the doctor would be in soon. 5 minutes later, she returned and said "actually, I'm going to clean it". She grabbed the underside of my hand where all the swelling was - not where it would be less painful, despite me wincing in pain. Doctor wasn't much better. She came in, didn't ask any questions, didn't perform any tests in the hand - just "I'll get you an X-ray" and headed for the door. I asked if that would show never or tendon damage - halfway out the door, she said yes, and shut the door. After the X-ray, I asked about nerve/tendon damage, and she said a x-ray won't show that. They didn't even dress the wound. They gave me a thin piece of gauze to hold on it, and sent me on my way. Awful experience.

We are very thankful for the urgent care staff for treating my son with urgency and care. We were not expecting to be seen so quickly, especially since the clinic was busy. It was clear they prioritize emergencies. The team was professional, compassionate, and made sure he was comfortable throughout the visit. We also appreciate the patience of the other families who understand that emergencies can affect wait times. I'm so grateful for such a dedicated team.

I tried getting into another local urgent care but I had to wait until the next day. My son told me about Care Now and the good experience he had there. I found them online and went to their website and signed in. It showed that I was 8th in line and gave me a time to be there. I was able to fill out all my information online. When I arrived at the office, I let the receptionist know that I was there. I sat down and after 5 minutes I was called back. The nurse was very friendly and kind. When the PA Linda came in, she was just as friendly and kind and gave me a thorough examination. She gave me the results from the Flu and Covid test they had taken earlier. She showed great concern for me and made me feel cared for. She called in my meds to my pharmacy and within 30 minutes I was out of there. All in all, this was the best experience that I have had with urgent cares. I highly recommend them and I'm glad my son recommended them to me too.

If I could give zero stars I would. I went to get a TB quantiFERON blood draw done. First, it was just never sent off and I kept calling for results and they told me that the results weren't back yet. They called me after this saying I had to get re-stuck and the draw was never sent off, Mind you I payed $120 to get this done. I now have been waiting another 5 days for results with no communication. This was for a nursing program and I unfortunately lost my spot in the class due to this and am out quite a bit of money. Do they care? Absolutely not. Would not recommend.

I.walked in with no appointment and was seen quickly by a NP then by a Doctor. No wait time at all. Everyone was very thorough and had me out with the necessary prescriptions. I highly recommend this care facility.
