Patient
Dr. James Merriam has been such a blessing. From the first time I saw him, he was very welcoming and to the point. After we went over my history including a bad experience with a previous cardiologist, he informed me that there were other ways to diagnose my tachycardia issues. I ended up using an APP on my phone as well as a watch that could connect to it for a month due to my inability to tolerate strong adhesives. We finally reached at a diagnosis of POTS and I am doing so much better being on medication to control my heart rate, though it still gets aggravated by certain exercises Taking into account my other diagnosis, we worked to devise a plan that would allow me to continue my physical therapy safely, and he ran tests to confirm that I did not have other cardiac issues commonly linked with my genetic condition. He was so amazing that I even recommended him to my father, and I credit him with getting him the surgery that ultimately saved his life. Thank you for everything you do, Dr Merriam.
