Super nice staff. Best doctors. Dr. Diane always answers my questions and helps me with my care. I'm very thankful to have such wonderful doctors and staff taking care of me.
My husband has been a patient at this practice for four years since we moved to Crowfield. Recently, we had a conversation about prioritizing his health, and upon reviewing his medical records, I was deeply concerned to find that in four years, he has never been sent for routine blood work. Additionally, he has never seen a doctor--only a PA--with appointments lasting an average of just 15 minutes. Each visit has primarily focused on his breathing issues, a condition he has had since childhood. Despite repeatedly raising this concern, there has been no noticeable improvement in his care plan, and only recently--after four years--was he prescribed Albuterol. This delayed and reactive approach to care is unacceptable and speaks to a broader issue within healthcare. We are acutely aware of the disparities in medical treatment, particularly how Black patients often receive less thorough care, experience longer delays in diagnosis, and have their symptoms dismissed at a higher rate than others. The lack of proactive treatment my husband received aligns with concerning trends in the healthcare system that disproportionately impact communities, leading to preventable complications and poorer health outcomes. Because of these concerns, we have decided to change his primary care provider. He will now be seeing a doctor in Mount Pleasant--an hour-long commute each way--but worth it for adequate care. I encourage anyone who has experienced similar neglect to advocate for themselves and seek a provider who prioritizes comprehensive, patient-focused care. We sincerely hope that no lasting harm has resulted from this lack of attention to his health. However, if we discover otherwise, we will be addressing this matter through legal channels. After reviewing other patient feedback, it is clear that my husband's experience is not an isolated incident. Many others have voiced similar concerns about subpar treatment at this practice. Yet, despite having access to these reviews, there has been no acknowledgment, no response, and--most importantly--no meaningful change in behavior or practices. This pattern of neglect and disregard for patient concerns is unacceptable. The standard of care must improve, or patients will continue seeking providers who actually prioritize their well-being. I have been with palmetto primary care for over 5 years now, before the new nurse practitioner was hired. Jennifer walker was a very willing doctor, but my new doctor and staff is horrible. They will always give you the basic customer service "yes mam, no mam, yes love, okay love". But even while trying their best to put on a customer service front, they are still obviously unwilling and annoyed with their patients. my sister and mother also had the same experiences with this doctor. On multiple occasions the nurse practitioner has completely forgot about our online appointments. When you call to tell them that your doctor is 40 MINUTES LATE to the 5 MINUTE meeting, they won't hesitate to drop what they are doing to serve you. As in they only do what they have to do when someone brings attention to the inconvenience. I do NOT suggest signing with this office.
I used to like this office, but recently it has been so bad. I can't get in touch with anyone about abnormal blood work, it's been 2 weeks with no follow up and I've called them 10 times trying to get in touch with a provider. This isn't the first issue I've had with them. Care is very inconsistent (I am juggled between 2 diff providers & no one ever answers the nurse lines). They seem to rush you out of the room when you are trying to voice your concerns. I feel like just another number to them. They explain away your worries like you are over reacting. I tried to be understanding and give chances, but I don't feel listened to or safely cared for here & don't think I'll be coming back.
I have been to the office on S. Alliance and on Iron Horse in Ladson. Springhall is the best office. The ladies at check-in are always kind and pleasant. The wait is never long and I've never had an issue scheduling an appointment. I usually see Cielita Halyard and she is great. Very thorough and I never feel rushed. I saw Diane McNeil today for a sick visit and she was outstanding. She really took the time to explain what I was experiencing and even pulled up pictures to show me. Today was a very busy day for their office, especially with the power outage, and I still received top notch care and kindness.
