Patient
I waited over a month for an appointment, everyone in the front is nice. A nurse comes to the door and calls my name, I explain my wife is in the restroom and I would like to wait on her. She tells me no that someone else can unlock the door for her to follow behind when she is finished. Red flag #1. I wasn't happy with it but I went anyway and she does catch up by the time I reach the room I'm going to be in. It's a very nice room with a window. A window encased in book shelves that continue to and around the corner on both sides of the room, but oddly enough there were no books. I am told to get on the table and she starts taking my blood pressure. I tell her automatic machines don't read properly on me. (They always read higher than when manually taken). It comes up high and again I tell her to check it manually, this is when she tells me she can't because she doesn't have the proper equipment to check it manually. This was red flag #2. I wait for the doctor, he comes in friendly enough, shakes my hand and greets my wife. I had already been informed by the first nurse to remove my shoes and socks. He touches each leg briefly and proceeds to promote compression sock and begins to write a prescription for a pair. I inform him that I have a pair and that if my insurance doesn't cover them I don't want them, so he stops writing and begins talking about an ultrasound being done. Maybe in 3 or 4 months (he is only in this office 1 time a month). Red flag #3. If I have lived with something for a couple of years, then waited a couple months for an appointment, now have to wait for a lett in 3 or 4 months to tell me when my next appointment is, I believe I can maybe live a couple more year without their help and lack of caring. Best advice: find a doctor with an office he is dedicated to being in daily.
