About Dr. Michael Joseph Cryer, MD
Originally from Chapin, South Carolina, Michael Cryer, MD, earned his medical degree at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Columbia. He then completed both an internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at Prisma Health in the Midlands. After two more fellowships - interventional cardiology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City and structural heart in Tucson, Arizona - he returned to Columbia to practice both general cardiology and interventional cardiology. Dr. Cryer specializes in catheter-based procedures, including heart stenting for patients having heart attacks or chest pains. I have been going to Dr Cryer for over 2 yrs now. I had to have a stent which he placed and has cared for me since along with his PA Miss Walker. They are very caring and take time to listen. I never feel rushed with them. I feel very comfortable knowing I am in the care of Dr Cryer and staff. I highly recommend them.
