Ryan Altman, MD, FACC, is an interventional cardiologist with Prisma Health Cardiology. He earned his medical degree at the Medical University of South Carolina, in Charleston, SC. Dr. Altman completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, TX and University of Florida College of Medicine in Jacksonville, FL. His residency in internal medicine was conducted at University of North Carolina Hospitals. Dr. Altman Saved My Life
After 20 years of battling heart disease and being told I couldn't be helped, Dr. Altman stepped in and changed everything. My experience with Dr Altman is I had bypass surgery he is my Dr and he has no concern for my health. Told him I still having pain in my chest and my breastbone is still moving and it feels like my chest is heavy everytime i get up and his thing is worring about my medicine. Then I had surgery july 28th and I go back to work October 17th but I told him I still need time to heal and he stated he doesn't write for no more time to be out from work. I explain to him my work is strenuous and we do alot of lifting, standing, and walking and moving beds and furniture. He still says he cant write no more time until I bring something from my job that they don't do light duty. I dont know why I have to go through this humiliation with my own dr. I pay the insurance company to pay him and he acts as if I am asking him to put me out a whole year. Will not reccomend him if you have bypass surgery not as your cardiologist .
