My first appointment with Dr Giles was encouraging. The Doctor took time to listen to me and consider. All of the professionals I had contact with during my visit were patient and kind to me. I'm confident the testing ordered will inform thoroughly.

I had an appointment today with Dr Geils that I have waited almost two months for. Originally I had a follow up appointment on February 15, but just days before they called to reschedule saying that he had "something come up" and wasn't going to be in the office that day, or at least at the time that my appointment was supposed to be. I arrived early as they requested ( 15 minutes early) and checked in. The waiting room was full, and other patients were arriving. My appointment was at 3 pm. About 3:15 another patient arrived and I heard him say that he had an appointment with Dr Geils at 3:30. By 3:30, all of the patients that were waiting when I arrived had gone back. At 3:37, they called for the patient with the 3:30 appointment. Thinking they overlooked the fact that I was waiting and had been for 45 minutes ,I went to the desk an asked how long it might be because I had a 3 pm appointment and they had called back a later appointment than mine . I told her that I could not wait any longer that I had been there almost an hour and she asked if I wanted to reschedule. I told her no I didn't because they had already rescheduled me once, and it took so long to get in, and now I was here, and they are taking patients with later appointments than mine. I just left and I told them that I hope that they were not planning on charging me for this visit. They are completely inconsiderate of your time, yet they want me to be considerate of theirs. I am in the medical field- I get it. Things happen that delay an appointment a few minutes. But so behind, that it will cause an appointment to be two hours behind is completely inconsiderate. I was told that Dr. Geils had been held up at the hospital and that there were three other patients in front of me, and it was 45 minutes after my appointment time. I just refused to sit and wait any longer. I wouldn't recommend this office, especially if there is an acute problem. You're likely to die before you actually get to see them.

Dr Miller spent time with me reviewing my test results & taking notes about my condition & recent changes. He listened and did not rush me out the door. He is such a gifted doctor and kind person. I feel very blessed that he is my cardiologist!

Writing again as my previous review was taken down - I had extreme, undiagnosed chest pains that sent me to the ER. They referred me to this Roper Cardiology location for help. I had to wait over a month for the first appointment, which is understandable and out of the clinic's control given supply and demand of medical help crisis in Charleston, I get that. However...after waiting for nearly a month with sharp, needle-in-my-lungs chest pain for this appointment, the day before it I received a voicemail telling me "Unfortunately Arthur is not going to be in the office today, please call back to reschedule" What? Not going to be in the office? What do you mean? You know that I've been going through my daily life with mind numbing pain for over 30 days and they just...aren't coming in? With no other choice, given how the broken medical referral system works, I had to reschedule for another appointment here that was, AGAIN, over a month out. So, I waited. I suffered day in and day out and I waited. I almost went to the ER a couple times but forced myself not to bc I knew they'd say the same thing again. Here's where it goes from extremely disrespectful to unnerving - I have now waited a total of over 2 months for a single appointment for intense daily chest pain. A couple days before this rescheduled appointment I got voicemail...wanna guess what it said? In a robotic voice - "Sorry, X isn't able to come in the office today, call back to reschedule". I am not exaggerating - cancelled on me AGAIN on the day before. I don't think I've ever been so flabbergasted. Like how could this be In the meantime I had been begging every cardio in Charleston to take me in because I was tired of being treated like a sub-human. They knew what I was going through and their response to that was cancelling on me last second (twice) with "sorry they won't be in the office"... Luckily a different Cardio practice took me in without a referral, so I've been able to get help from people who don't completely disrespect you, your time and your suffering. After cancelling on me last second for the second time, they then actually had the nerve to call to chastise me about getting frustrated on the phone after they had been so insanely disrespectful multiple times. I couldn't help but laugh, so incredibly out of touch with the situation. Trident Cardiology and Dr. Yarborough have been awesome, they treat you well, are responsive and actually care. They prove this through their actions - rather than disrespecting you over and over then getting offended when you react to it. Avoid this practice at all costs.
