I had an infection that started Saturday night. It grew and Tuesday I called Coastal. Dr Bauer was able to do a telehealth appt. After seeing me she asked me to come into the office so she could see my infection more closely. They took me in right away. No waiting. Everyone at Coastal is so pleasant. Dr Bauer saw me right away and put in an antibiotic prescription. Very caring and concerned.

This is a great office and my Primary physician is a throwback to a time when doctors were real doctors. She is thorough, competent and I never feel that I'm not being listened to or being rushed. As an added benefit, the blood lab is in the same office - no need to travel elsewhere to have blood work done. The only negative is with their on-line questionnaire. It was sent via text message to have me fill it out on-line to save time in the office. I submitted it three days before my visit. Two days later, I got an email request for the same form. Since I didn't know if this was just a redundancy or a failure of my first submission, I filled it out again. Once in the office for my appointment, the aid said she couldn't find either of my submissions so I had to fill it out a third time! This is no reflection on the excellent medical care I received. It's just a sign of the times we live in, I guess.

My primary care doctor, who I loved, passed away unexpectedly. That was already awful enough. Without my knowing, they transferred me to a random doctor an hour away. All of a sudden, again without my knowledge, I was unable to get my medication. The office a hour away told me they could do it and I waited for a text from cvs. Instead I waited and eventually got a call saying they couldn't refill it. By this time I was out of my medication. I had been seen by another doctor at this Wakefield location on a few occasions as well, but they said there was nothing they could do and she couldn't help me. I just am feeling like this practice truly does not care about their patients' health. It is really disheartening.

My latest visit was excellent as usual. I was seen on time and both staff and Dr. Gonzales were efficient and competent as usual. I have used Coastal Medical for over thirty years and the current association with Brown U Health continues that tradition of quality patient care.

Dr. Johnson is wonderful. Very responsive to inquiries and communicates quickly via the portal. Same day sick visits have been available for me when needed.
