+ 2 for the nonjudgmental overall patient experience...After over 8 years with a Primary Care Doctor who has the bedside manners of a Cactus, I was referred to Dr. Lu by a trusted RN... The difference is like night and day.
I wasn't waiting for 15-20 minutes for him to appear, he asked questions that were relevant and actually Personally called me after hours to discuss a lab result concern.
Just one visit and I am so happy to have waited almost 5 months to see him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lu for over 5 years. Typically Dr. Lu is attentive and communicates well.
I had a 4 pm appointment which i had arrived at 3:50 and checked in. I was told a provider was out and Dr. Lu was seeing those patients as well. I was not seen by Dr. Lu until 5:10. I realize circumstances arise and was understanding he was busy.
My problem is the fact i was rushed over by Dr.Lu and not once did he look me in my eyes (just simply looking at his computer) to try to understand my symptom i was explaining. He simply said "Oh if it happens again come back" not allowing me to finish what i was explaining. Nor did he feel it was necessary to go over my recent bloodwork until i politely explained to him that i was feeling rushed out of the office visit considering i was one of the last (if not last) patients of the day. He was literally in there with me for approximately 4-5 mins.
Fact is whether one is the first patient or last patient of the day the quality/standard of care of a patient care should not differ. The Dr had a busy day and it showed by his demeanor and actions at the end of the day.
This review is not meant to shame the practice. Hopeful it can be looked as a area to improve upon as a whole.

Had a horrible experience with the tall phlebotomist on 03/20/24, did not get her name. Such a condescending attitude. Apparently it is offensive to point out where my vein is usually found, and did this because I was advised to last time I went. Then, she just said "well it was not me" "Okay, I am going by what you said" and just inserted the needle without even checking for the vein just moving it around. It was obvious she had no intention of finding it and just moved to the other arm. Left me in so much pain on both arms. What ever she may be dealing with is no excuse to treat a patient the way she did. People like this should not be working in this field.

This is hands down the best doctor I ever had! I've been seeing him for years! He always listen to you and actually cares about you; it doesn't matter if you're on vacation in another country or if it is late at night or the weekend or a holiday, he would call you from his cellphone just to make sure you're doing ok. I 100% recommend him!! I brought my mom, sister, brother and boyfriend to him. I recently moved out of the state and I terribly miss his care. I wish I could of taken him with me! Dr. Lu you're the best!! Thank you so much for everything!!

I will be very fortunate if I EVER find a doc as wonderful as Lu himself. He will get you and keep you well!! Bar none...none better in the RI area. Just he speaks very fast and with his Chinese accent added in, well just tell him, " slow down, man. I ain't getting a word you are saying, Lu." He will laugh and remember me as you say but. But it will be worth your brief office wait. The secretaries are amazing and should be given raises, hint hint Yamata and Lu!! They work exhaustively and dog tired as do the docs. How anyone from that office drives home at night without sleeping at the wheel is amazing. Doctor Lu is quite conscientious even calling on a Sunday to give you lab results. He is a true doctor in the old world sense. I will miss him in Florida. Good bye my dear friend Lu!! May good health follow you and your family along with a tad bit of prosperity thrown in. (Smile)
