Patient
I've been with vascular for a few years now my original Dr. Upmc was originally a second opinion from a Guthrie vascular Dr. I've seen. She was wonderful and listened to why I was there went over my ultrasound I had before appt. showing me the pictures and explaining the veins and where the issues were.Confirming to me about me having venous reflux aka chronic venous insuffiencys.Unlike the guthrie Dr. telling me I don't have anything wrong.Ive had the vein issue for about 30 years all my doctors in the past told me I have venous reflux. So I recently had an appt with Upmc SH Vascular to see if I had a blood clot in my leg.I had an ultrasound first everything was going great everyone was nice as usual the technician and nurse the desk people.Until I seen the Dr. my first time seeing him Dr. Chang.I didn't like the first impression and the way he talked to me and made me feel.I felt like it was that Dr. from Guthrie Vascular all over again. He walks in coming across I'm the doctor your the patient attitude smug.So whats wrong why you here.No hi introduce himself nothing.I have trouble speaking and some word finding and cognitive issues I was trying to tell him best I could because by that way he came in .I wasn't doing good enough because he said he don't understand. And was telling me what I was explaining was wrong and asked who told you that.I was trying to tell him I have venous reflux he said not much at all.And was explaining about it being the vein in the back of my knee the issue and my leg would be all better if I gotten it taken out.And I was trying to tell him but he was making me feel stupid. So by that point it was a wasted trip because it takes me an hour to travel.Im doing my best to explain now and if it makes sense it's because I'm better at writing my thoughts out then speaking.
