Patient Reviews

Patient

As a patient for over 2 years, I must agree with the previous reviews of the "front desk staff" Absolutely the worst. Dr. Ellis, wonderful Doctor. After my CABG, Dr Ellis wasn't happy with the way my incision was looking. Prescribed antibiotics, to which I had a not to pleasant side effect. Called and left messages for the Nurse. No call back. So I stopped taking it. Fast forward to this week, 2 years later. Had a dandy head/chest cold. Called to see what OTC cold meds I could take. I'm on 11 scrips now, and did want to take something I shouldn't. Welp, called and immediately put on hold. After 10+ minutes, called back and left a message for the Nurse. That was Monday, today is Saturday, have not received a call back. Thank God for CHATGPT, who RETURNED an answer to my question quickly. I will give 10 to Stephanie, who handled my disability paperwork like a champ. Even called me after hours to say that the forms were submitted. More forms the next month, and guess what, she went on leave, no one bothered to fax my them in. NO ONE. Resulting in NO PAY!!! There wasn't enough stress, recovering from CABG, an now out a pay check. This was in 2024, hopefully she left, she was too good for that place. I will be looking for another Cardiologist in the near future. I advise others to do the same.

Warning - Front Office Experience Only My wife (a retired cardiac nurse) called to clarify a voicemail I received about a pacemaker. The receptionist, Kristen, was dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. When we pressed for answers, she became impatient, minimized serious procedures, and finally ended the call with the shocking remark: "Ma'am, I feel sorry for you being married to this guy." Communication between doctors is inconsistent, and follow-up is lacking. For a cardiology practice where trust and clarity are essential, this front office behavior is unacceptable. I'll end this with a copy and paste from NEPA's website: A patient is not dependent on us, we are dependent on them ~ A patient is not an interruption of our work day, they are the purpose of it ~ A patient is not an outsider to our business, they are our business ~ A patient is a person and not a statistic. It is our job to satisfy them.

My grandfather has been seeing dr briskie for over 30 years he is wonderful doctor caring and compassionate to his patients but i cant say the same to the office staff. my grandfather was reached to stages where he can no longer see dr briske and we are in desperate need of his records to find when was the last time his pacemaker battery was changed i have been calling constantly for over 2 months to find this information but office returns call and then never calls back with the information especially last person i spoke to has really shocked me at the attitude and laughter towards finding those records that is very inconsiderate to the person that is looking for records and no compassion to the elder person that is bed bound. i understand that they have tons of patients but this type of behavior is just unnacessary and not professional. lack of training is really a big lack in this office which makes it difficult for family members that are dealing with a lot.

Dr Rupp is one of the most compassionate doctors I have seen. He's always up front with his patients without being like some doctors with their God complexes. I trust him with my life and wouldn't go to anyone else.
