Gastroenterology Department. Do you ever call people back who need to schedule their procedures? You completely forgot to schedule my endoscopy in the first place. I had to call YOU to get the ball rolling with that. But I'm still waiting on you to return any of my calls. I waited weeks thinking your endoscopy suites were just that backed up. When I called yesterday, then called back two more times throughout the day, you sent me a message through MyChart that someone would call me back "shortly." You invited me to call back if I hadn't heard. So I did, a third time. The woman who answered seemed mildly annoyed. "I'll put in another request." This morning makes four attempt calls. Nobody answered, nobody called back. It's now 5:30 pm and you're gone for the day. I left you a voicemail. It doesn't sit well that I could hear your team gabbing away and laughing with each other for half an hour or so, when I came for my initial consultation. What exactly is the issue with your department? If you can't take your patients seriously, then why should we take you seriously? You can't even offer the basic service of scheduling. I'm not going to call a fifth time, so at this point, let's just forget about it. I'll go someplace that has dedicated staff who answer their phones. One of the most basic things in a workplace, scheduling, and for some reason that's beyond your capabilities. Have fun chatting it up on the clock, as you seem to prefer.

Go to any other hospital except this one. This health system used to be great but now all that want is money. Overcharging for stuff, charging for stuff that could not have been done in the short time frame we were there. PROFIT is the name of the game. The provider didn't give a damn about the patients but they have no problem making a patients family feel like crap when their family member is passing away. I WILL never forget how we were spoken to. And the fact that my family members medical chart was right on the screen and the doctor couldn't take a minute to actually read it. He was a patient with your doctors for years. And I won't forget 6 hours after our family member passed they had the audacity to send us emails asking up about getting in contact with the donor life program about his organs when he was gone hours before.. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS HOSPITAL SYSTEM. You probably have a better chance of surviving with a quack on the street. I can't tell you enough how much I truly hate them. Gesinger don't care about you they just care about your money. That is probably why there are over 200 medical malpractice suits against them. It makes me sick.

I had an excellent experience at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital in Wilkes-Barre today. From the moment I arrived, the Valet parking manager went above and beyond to help me. Noticing that I was a little lost, she kindly gave me the orientation I needed to reach the ER. The check-in process was very quick, and I was called in almost right away. The entire emergency room staff was attentive, professional, and caring. Dr Fernando and the other staff members not only found the issue but treated me effectively, and I was feeling back to normal in no time. When I was ready to leave, I ran into an unexpected problem with my car. Once again, the same valet parking manager stepped in and took it upon herself to find a booster to get my car started so I could be on my way. Even though I don't personally know anyone at the hospital, I want the professionalism and human touch shown by your staff not to go unnoticed. Overall, I was very impressed with the attention to detail and genuine care shown by everyone I interacted with at Geisinger Hospital. Their dedication truly made a difference in what could have been a very stressful situation.

From telling me I never checked in after checking in online,via text, and checked in at the ER desk, to never even completing my diagnostics procedure telling me it would be hours until I could be seen. Complete incompetence and lack of patient care are organization. This is one of many issues with the geisinger system. They will make sure they take your credit card at the door but never give you the care you need. I'd recommend going anywhere also for your healthcare needs.

I just gave birth to my son on saturday october 11th 2025. I have to say the birthing experience was great. The care after wasn't so good. They dont have a nursery and when I asked the nurses to watch him for 2 hours so I can sleep that night they said they couldn't watch him. I understand the reasons for this but it was a very hard night and I really needed rest. I dont thing CMC in Scranton has a nursery either. Good luck if your going to give birth here. Some of the nurses were too pushy with certain things as well
