Pediatric Cardiology of W PA - Prapti Kanani MD

My daughter was showing several clinical symptoms of a rare disease that affects the heart. We scheduled a month out with Dr. Kanani, but after she saw my daughter's symptoms she got her scheduled right away for an echocardiogram and EKG. She and her nurse stayed in the office for an hour after their typical close time for our appt. My daughter has major anxiety with Dr offices, but both Dr. Kanani and her nurse took their time to put her at ease. Nothing about this appt was rushed, and all of my questions and concerns were answered. We are so thankful for how well this visit went. I would recommend Dr. K to everyone! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

she is very thorough and takes a great deal of time with her patient. sometimes there may be a small wait, but it is always because shes taking care of people the way a doctor shoud

We just left this office and they have a very sweet team! When we arrived I unfortunately did not have a physical copy of the referral and my child's PCP hadn't faxed it. Long story short, the tech explained the situation to the doctor and they were quick to reach out to my child's PCP & get it figured out for us to do it right there and there instead of rescheduling. Really grateful! Great team.

Dr Kanani is absolutely amazing. She is kind and very good at what she does. She fought for our daughter to get the care that she needed when other doctors wouldn't listen to us. She told Children's surgery team what our daughter needed and didn't let them change her plan. Our daughter is thriving because of Dr Kanai and we are so very grateful!!

Dr. Kanani has been our son's pediatric cardiologist for over two years. We went to her office before his birth for fetal echocardiograms. During this time she was diligent and thorough, trying to narrow down our son's heart defect, truncus arteriosus; there are four types and therefore she wanted to get as accurate images as she could prenatally. During these visits, she also assisted us with information regarding prognosis, interventions, and directed us to the surgeons at Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh. She took her time with us then and continues to take her time with us during each of his appointments. She has a courteous and friendly staff who are always a pleasure to see! I specifically want to mention how attentive and knowledgeable Dr. Kanani is, and how I believe she is one of the best patient advocates! She personally contacted another cardiologist at Children's when we were anxiously waiting to schedule our son's first heart catheterization. The timing of appointments and interventions is vital to the health and well-being of those living with heart defects, and Dr. Kanani has proved to us she is willing to be an advocate and reach out to other healthcare professionals to ensure her patients are receiving the care they need. She genuinely wants the best outcome possible for each patient. I would highly recommend her to any family who has a child or family member with a heart defect. We are grateful for her guidance throughout our son's heart journey!
