Penn State Health Medical Group - Benner Pike

I was referred to Penn State Health by my primary care physician, but was told there was a decent waiting period for next available appointment. The wait was absolutely worth it! I had no anxieties when I walked in. Everyone was super nice and welcoming, the doctor listened to my concerns and answered in a very positive tone. My procedure was painless and took less time than expected. I encourage anyone who is looking for a dermatologist to check out Penn State Medical Group. Thank you for being a great care provider.

The care we have received is excellent. Availability of appointments to be seen is not ideal. Furthermore, a scheduling receptionist should not be dictating that you need an appointment, or refusing the opportunity to speak with a nurse, which is what I experienced, twice, today. This experience is prompting me to evaluate my family's Healthcare needs, and where they may be better met, as far as accessibility to appointments, when needed, access nurse guidance without the descretion of a scheduling receptionist, and hopefully, a walk-in clinic. I have asked why these current obstacles exist, and have not been provided any insight. It's a shame that Penn State Health and Geisinger don't play well in the same sandbox, together. Without that issue presenting, I wouldn't have moved my children to Penn State Health, out of fear that Geisinger would no longer accept PSU insurance, rendering my kids without access to care.

Dr . Amy Hays is the best Dr that I've ever had she took the time too actually listen too all of my health issues and actually took the time too go over each and every option I had for treatment. She even found a health issue that I never knew I had that could of been life threatening . I can not praise her enough she make you feel at home like your talking too family. And she actually cares about her patients...Great Dr. Great Person. Again I can't Thank or Praise her enough.. Would definitely recommend too others matter of fact I have ....

Dr. Hays and the PA Jess see our family including my two year old son. They are amazing. I couldn't ask for a better doctor's office. Jess and Dr. Hays are amazing with all of us, answer all of our questions, and provide amazing care. My first appointment with Jess over a year ago, we decided to switch our whole little family over to them. They aren't like most doctor's offices that rush you out the door. These two care providers actually care about their patients.

When it comes to getting you in one time, it doesn't happen. After a doctor refers you and wants you seen specificity for an urgent matter, you basically have to beg. Sitting in the waiting room you can just hear inappropriate/loud talk. For a health care facility, it's not professional for it to sound like a highschool lunch table.
