About Dr. Mario Castro-Medina, MD
Dr. Mario Castro-Medina is a pediatric and adult cardiothoracic surgeon. He received his medical degree from the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon and completed his residency at the University Hospital. He then completed a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship in the High Specialty Medical Unit in Monterrey. Dr. Castro-Medina continued his training with a cardiovascular and valve fellowship at the University of Texas Houston Health Science Center at Memorial Hermann Hospital. He then completed a pediatric cardiac surgery fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
