Overweight/Obese Beware: I have only visited Dr. Frechie once, so it could be one of those bad first impression things. Demeanor - nice, Professionalism - spot on. Medical Knowledge - I cannot truly comment on his medical knowledge , testing etc because he didn't perform any on me. I went in with my concerns and was essentially brushed off with the comments that I am obese and out of shape. I am Female, 5'8, 265lbs - so yeah I'm "obese" but definitely not the worst out there. I was not given the option to perform any type of testing or evaluation. My family history of heart problems and high blood pressure was essentially ignored. When I attempted to discuss the option of performing testing just to rule out issues it was brushed off with the recommendation to lose weight, stop eating fast food, drinking, lower carbs etc. The things everyone tells anyone with extra plump. Some background. My father (RIP) was severely ill over the past 6 months. I dedicated my life the past 6 months to caring for him, as well as maintaining 2 full time jobs. I was under tremendous stress, lack of sleep etc. When I attempted to discuss the potential for my problems being connected to stress - once again brushed off. This is not to say Dr. Frechie was mean. He remaining professional the entire discussion. However I felt if I truly had anything serious going on it had the potential to be overlooked due to my weight. This is a common issue for the plus size community. So if you took the time to read my review that's about it. He's not mean - but if you're overweight you may want to have your problems addressed elsewhere for fear they may be overlooked.
