About Dr. Jake R Marais, MD
My career goal is to make a personal difference to each and every one of my patients. I want them to feel respected and listened to, and in so doing, I hope to gain their trust. I take pride in utilizing the tools I have been trained to use to get to the heart of my patients' complaints. I am board certified in general cardiology and well trained in the use of 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, nuclear imaging and stress testing. My areas of interest include preventive cardiology, hypertension and coronary artery disease amongst many others. I eagerly speak with patients about food as health and spend much of my time advising on healthy diets and lifestyle.
