UPMC Passavant - Cranberry

Had an mri there about 20 yrs ago was a horrible experience so when my urologist ordered one recently I was extremely upset and anxious , HOWEVER, today's experience was awesome . From check in til finish it was smooth, professional, and all my needs were met. The technician, Autumn, was fantastic ! Make me comfortable, advised me, spoke w me consistently thru procedure. The facility was clean, modern, ran on time. It was truly a 5 star experience!

Lab and outpatient scans are excellent, and the staff there is friendly and kind. They easily deserve more than 2 stars. Unfortunately, the ER experience greatly lowers the overall rating. My experiences in the ER over the years have been consistently disappointing. The doctors I've seen had an unprofessional and dismissive attitude, which made me feel like patients are viewed as adversaries. During one visit, I was vomiting and immediately accused of narcotic withdrawal, even though I've never used narcotics. The doctor then questioned me about pregnancy in an aggressive manner, despite my being unable to respond at the time. The ER staff offers little comfort or support, even for patients arriving via ambulance. It's concerning that this approach seems to be part of a persistent culture. I hope UPMC focuses on improving quality and compliance in this ER to provide compassionate care.

Every time I come here I have been greeted by friendly staff and have been treated very well. I was here today for an upper GI test and had the same feelings. Stephanie was the one who took me back for my test and was very attentive and sweet and treated me so well throughout my entire time with her until my test was over. The facility is kept well maintained and clean as well. I would definitely choose this hospital for any outpatient testing. I've also had all my labs drawn here and had the same experience.

This hospital is the worst. I literally would not take any of my family there. The doctor was very rude that I seen last night assuming I wanted it narcotic pain medication and even specified that in my UPMC portal so that all of my care providers can see that in there. I never even asked for anything for that was narcotic. I asked for toradol which is and inflammatory medication no. Opiates are in there anyway was treated very badly and this isn't the first time I only went here because I was seen there last time and at that point the staff and doctor was very nice and treated me accordingly. But it's Hit or Miss with this hospital and I am never returning. They don't do anything at all to make you feel comfortable or handle your care properly. I would not recommend this place

It was my first time at UPMC Passavant today. I had to have some blood work and a ct can with dye contrast. The staff were so friendly and took care of you and the facility immaculate. If i ever need anything else hospital wise i will definitely be coming back here.
