Patient
I feel that Dr. Tang is a good dr because he explains everything in a way that everyone can understand. In the procedure room he leaves a lot to be desired. Not only do I have Heart Failure, but also mobility issues and uncontrollable muscle spasms that get worse in my legs when I'm in a stressful situation. Like a heart Cath. Every time my leg spasmed he would raise his voice with me, which stressed me out even more and caused my leg spasms to get worse. I realize that I was making the insertion of the cath extremely difficult for him. I told him repeatedly that I was sorry and couldn't help it, which he completely dismissed. They could have given me something to control the spasms or they could have held my leg down ( which I told them ) or applied pressure. Any of these choices would have helped make the procedure go smoother. When the Lidocaine was being injected, I was told that there would be a burning sensation, which there was. It also felt like electricity was shooting into my bones in that area. So painful and I do understand that everyone reacts to medication differently. Unfortunately, The dr would rather raise his voice at you then showing even the slightest amount of compassion toward his patients. I asked the nurse for something that would calm me down previous to the procedure and was told that " Everyone gets nervous ". No pill was given, which was not helpful at all. Other than that the nursing staff were polite did a great job with being attentive to my needs. Overall, if you do not mind if your Dr. is not nice during a stressful situation, but care more to know exactly what is going on, Dr. Tang will be a perfect match for you.
