About Dr. Mary Donna Cruz, MD

I believe in patient centered care. I take pride in knowing my patients well and providing care with the knowledge and skills in the latest advances in my field. I am a board-certified cardiologist specializing in heart failure and mechanical circulatory support. Additionally, I provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology consultations, preoperative evaluations and continuing cardiovascular care. My special areas of clinical interest are cardiomyopathies, cardiogenic shock, ventricular assist devices, cardiac amyloidosis and pulmonary hypertension. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and practicing yoga.

She explained reasons why she chose why she ordered certain changes to my care/meds for my newly diagnosed Congestive Heart Failure and why I must continue to wear my external defibrillator for another month and a half.
