Cardiology at PeaceHealth Oregon Heart & Vascular Institute

I had. Urgent referral from my primary doctor because of abnormal stress test. I got into see cardiologist for about 10 minutes and she ordered two test. These test took 4 months to get done and when a significant finding was seen .they just told someone else to tell me to take a pill and see ya in 6 weeks, no going over the test results , no being able to ask questions about treatment .They never did call me about the results . A complete shutdown of communication . I was finally told after many messages to them. That they would set up app ASAP . I even called office manager but she didn't return calls. I waited 3 weeks and no one called. Finely had to ask my prjimary for another cardiologist that had time to follow my care. Very unprofessional and disturbing to what our healthcare system has become. Unacceptable!!!! I had to give One star just to post0

They're pretty dismissive and not really helpful. The appointment was at noon today where they prescribed 2 new heart medications. Called pharmacy at 4:00 to see if they were ready, but apparently they never received any orders. Called OHVI back right away to see if they maybe sent the prescriptions to a different pharmacy? The guy who answered the phone just basically said "whoospee looks like nobody ever sent those orders out, and it's too late to anything now." Really? 4:00 on a weekday is just too late to do anything? When I asked for a timeframe on when it would be addressed, he just gave some vague answer of "we'll take care of tomorrow."

I spent three nights in the hospital at PeaceHealth Oregon Heart and Vascular Institute. The care I received was exceptional, competent and caring. The staff is amazing. Follow up from the cardiologist was timely and thorough. I highly recommend this facility.

My mother came in with AFIB, Pneumonia, Pulmonary Embolisms in both lungs, and unidentified internal bleeding. All her blood levels pointed to cancer. They were aware of masses (4) on her thyroid. She already had an endoscopy to look for the bleeding in Florence weeks ago, where they said they didn't see anything but an old ulcer. Rather than biopsy the obviously concerning masses on her thyroid, they redid a procedure to just treat symptoms rather than find a cause. She was there for two weeks. She had been to Peacehealth in Florence for three days. They released her (prescribed blood thinners even though they couldn't find the source of her internal bleeding) and then said "wait and see" Riverbend did the same. She needed early detection. Her blood levels all indicated it and she had DETECTED and CONFIRMED masses that an endocrinologist was concerned about, yet we had to wait over a month for an appointment. For a procedure she could have had while she was in the cardiology unit or during her redundant endoscopy. Three weeks later a basic ultrasound showed more masses throughout her body. I will sit forever wondering if those masses had been tested, if the scan had been done, maybe I wouldn't be spending the last summer with my mother ever. Don't go here. They don't care and they don't listen. They milk insurance and ignore obvious symptoms of bigger problems and will send you out the door with 9 prescriptions to "manage". I don't a late diagnosis and dying due to lack of medical attention is "managing" personally.

If you'd like to be dismissed then this is the place for you. Glad I have a team of doctors elsewhere actually addressing my concerns and helping my issues. Front desk was nice at least.
